You'd think Gallagher would have come on for McGeough instead of Campbell. Why do we 2 defensive players against A league 1 team at home?

Game management as it's finest from clueless.

A fortunate win despite controlling most of the game. Cosgrove looked a bit out of sorts for me and McLennan should be nowhere near the first team. Other than that I thought everyone played ok if perhaps just a bit lacking in urgency and directness. McGinn and McGeouch probably best.

We still need someone in who has the talent to unlock stubborn defences.

    Final whistle, 1-0 it is.

Not sure what to make of that. Pretty much same-old, same-old. At times it looked like we might start to motor, but we never did.

Lewis had nothing to do. Defence had little to do. Taylor inevitably played some aimless long balls.

In midfield I thought Ojo and McGeouch looked like they might work well together. McGeouch showing an eye for a pass a little bit of spark as well as a bit of bite, and seemed to want the ball and organise things a bit. Might be the new Shinnie? McGinn had a very good first half I thought, but then faded a bit. McLennan was pretty rank, did nothing of note when the ball came to him - I think Considine played more good balls into the middle than he did. Hedges when he came on looked very left-footed out on the right (do we ever play him on the left? Can't remember seeing him there). Not sure he put in a cross either. If we'd had two McGinns, with one on each wing, then I think we might have really got into them. But we don't seem to create anything from the right. Hopefully Kennedy when he comes resolves that.

Up front neither Anderson nor Cosgrove had a great afternoon.

RedTV: It worked. They seemed a bit less numpty-like than sometimes. I thought they were spot on when they compared it to the Stenhousemuir game.

The highlight for me was probably hearing the singing from the Merkland, together with a decent enough debut from McGeouch. Otherwise it was all a bit meh...

I think today shows that Bruce Anderson isn’t good enough to be a regular first pick.

Maybe could be doing with a loan spell in the championship?
