Do you think if the same 10000 boycott again, will the recipients of the "free" tickets use their hard earned to purchase one themselves next time?

Will they wait for another freebie or just not bother at all?
maybe not but what the 10000 has told me is that their are passionate geordies out their who are willing to support their team .not the whinge arses who care more about who runs the club or how much we spend than supporting it

and do i think all 10000 will take the option up nope
but i still think a top 10-12 finish will see theos not taken up snapped up by other loyal geordies who like me dont care what we spend who we spend it on or who the manager is supporting .

    This could have legs, potentially.

I mean, it could all tie in to giving away the free tickets, ensuring not only near full houses but also a calm down of the bitterness by a certain section of fans that basically creates bad feeling and conflict among other fans.
This wouldn't look good to any potential buyers but what does look good is the fact that seats can always be filled and harmony can be restored at the drop of a hat for any newbie coming in...who would clearly see this.

Getting in loans of the standard we have, which is a pretty quality standard by the looks of it, could be a signal that things are about to change.

It's a perfect package for any new owner and a perfect walk away for Ashley....potentially.

Having said all of this, I'm in no turmoil because, if Ashley stays I'm fairly content. And if he goes then all I need to hope for is.... the new owner has the right set up and ways.... including contingency plans to ensure the club does not collapse like a pack of cards with reckless purchases and wages and who can ensure the long term running of the club in a fair manner, minimum.

I think anyone of us would love a dream of playing some fantastic football up there in the clouds of the prem and Europe, etc.....plus the cups.

Either way for me it's simple:
Whether Ashley stays or leaves, or whether local Fred Bloggs the borrower comes in, or a fly by night Mr/Mrs gobsheet comes in....or a super wealthy blank cheque long term owner walks in, I'll still be a Newcastle United fan and supporter, no different to how I have been since day one. So nothing changes for me, in that respect.

i dont get your argument jackupos

i agree there are passionate geordies willing to fork out hard earned cash on tickets etc they are the ones i relate to .this is why i did not believe for one minute that they wouldnt get snapped up nor those that dont take them up at the ned of the seaon that those wont get snapped up
especially if we keep doing well as we are under bruce

what i cant understand is when someone says they are part of the loyalist football supporters yet slag the team the owner the nmanager the players and match going fans and want to be taken seriously as a passionate geordie

    there are passionate geordies

but not all of them are

    Hey fellow billionaires, look...

I've been experimenting with how much I can get clean away with owning a club...

Come and buy, its a money spinner - look at all I have done in 13 years.

    And get this.....

No matter how badly you treat the club, manager, fans and region, you will always be able to get a full house.

I am in Oz on a break and just managed to access my accounts etc. Lots of interesting stuff on the forum. As to the takeover, my stance is like many: “believe it when it happens”. As to transfers whilst loans not an issue and appear ok I cannot understand the reluctance in signing Bowden, though it looks like he is gone to CP.

Hopefully the forum will swerve away from some of the stuff I have seen re certain new posters et al! Fingers crossed for the Norwich game.

Fakeover will be put to bed until the end of season at 11pm tomorrow. The club will say they thought it was done which is why only loans came in then accuse the media of leaking it and blame them.
He is one unlucky man that Ashley.Every fakeover is leaked to the press. The cynics amongst us would say as he is the only person involved in all of them that he was the source of the leak.I mean,Charnley who wouldn't get a job anywhere if a takeover happened wouldn't be the leak would he.
