No wonder Bielsa got so pissed off..he looks way off a 90 minute game..would still give him 10-15 mins off the bench after Bamford's bamfluffs.

Can't see why he wouldn't be on the bench today if he only played 45 yesterday.

The big thing with Bamford now though is we all know now how the whole situation has got into his head - showing that by holding his ears just demonstrates that he's thinking about it, he's worrying about it.

I remember an article at the start of this season - double page spread on Harrison and how he had been trying to conquer his lack of confidence during last season and felt better. It's been very obvious that that's been the difference this season. Bamford's delicate state of mind isn't going to suddenly improve just because of Millwall. In fact, given what happened last week, he'll be all over the place again.

I think for the rest of the season he will be in and out in terms of how he plays - we can only hope we get an alternative on the bench for the 'out' days, and that Bielsa manages him very carefully for his own sake, but also for the team.

On the subject of yesterdays substitution, I guess it depends in why he was subbed?

As to what you say about Bamford, spot on, so having a substitute is *****. Question is, do we?

Read a report of his performance and it just said he ended the half and went off so no issues with his fitness.

Seems he had a quiet game with little to work with.

Ideal preparation for a 15 minute free-scoring introduction to the English league today.
