I haven't let my hatred of Ashley stop me going. I don't go because I think a boycott would work and couldn't, in all conscience, keep going just because I thought not enough people would stay away to make it work. I honestly think that if everybody who thought a boycott would work actually did stay away then he'd be gone in weeks-just look at the Club's reaction to 10,000 missing from the Southampton game. Not giving him my bloody hard-earned money is a bonus but that's not my motivation. The way to hurt Ashley is to hurt the thing he loves most-Shite Direct and a near-empty stadium will look bad enough on telly to hurt his brand...imo.
why would it hurt sports direct ??????

do you honestly think people who pay 30-80 quid a game are going to buy from sports direct ??

he gets the tv money if yur their or not
infact i would say if you have sky or bt or watch the game in a pub then you are contributing more to him than your season ticket money

i honestly dont think those people that continually use sportds direct really care about how many geordies go and watch the toon on a saturday

    seriusly do you ????

a hard up mum in bradford really doesnt give a phuck about someone not spending 50 pounds to watch a game of football when she has that to feed her family on for a week if shes lucky

yes there were 10000 empty seats or there about
but he was prepaired to give them away free

to prove he doesnt need the gate money

all it does is mean we get less to spend on the team or gives him a reason too justify that

    honestly zippy

being a martyr on a forum isnt the way to go about it

when you say you arent giving him hard earned money if you have sky ,bt etc you are giving him money
even if you dont have the sports channels

and it has been proven that people like you staying away means others will step into your shoes
whilsy laughing at you and your protest
and be happy for a free ticket

it made it quite clear and obvious
not every toon fan believes ash gone will make things better and that given the chance they will support the toon

    thats passion

Surely a huge change of stratergy. Hardly a single spelling mistake. Who wrote the script?

I wonder who’s going to take up the 10,000 plus empty seats next season. The majority of the fans can see through Ashley and the games he plays.

"being a martyr on a forum"

    ffs

And he didn't give away 10.000 free seats to prove he didn't need the money...he did it because he was worried about how it would look on tv. A half empty stadium means we are less likely to be chosen for tv games...therefore less exposure for his beloved brand and when we are shown, the swathes of empty seats, along with the shit atmosphere mean his brand is associated with negativity.

But then, I'm sure you understand this.....

Don't worry what the plastic element of our fan base think

We all know those that buy sky and by contribute more to ashes coffers than us match going fans do
Bearing in mind that a plastic supporter is one that supports a club just because it’s successful and wins trophies, can you explain how there is a plastic element in our support?

You really haven’t thought this through. By your argument advertising at St James isn’t important. Clearly wrong.

Also watching in the pub does not help Ashley. The pub’ll show it whether you go or not.

I'll bet he will ignore this one. It's too complicated a think.
