Thread: O/T panic buying

  1. #31
Haven't been able to get any hand sanitizer for over a week from anywhere, and yet I haven't seen a single person using any while out and about which is the whole point having it. Luckily Mrs Hazza has her own stash as she buys it regularly.
Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are also in huge demand. I've got a s hitload of cocodamol which is pretty much the same thing but more fun

If you have not got a warm area.
Put oven on at 100 for a few mins.
Switch it off and open door till barely warm
    Then prove dough in there.
I’m going to try that thanks

Well up to now I haven’t had a problem buying toilet rolls or pasta or anything else, I already had hand sanitizer in but could have still got some if wanted but they were low in stock.

Idiots needs to grow up and stop panicking. Think of the elderly you selfish idiots

Here's a point. What happens if supermarket staff get the virus. Surely the whole store will shut down.

Probably but there’s more than one store.

If 80% of the population get the virus.
I would hazzard a guess, that they don't all work for one store.

When we left the EU I kept seeing that as a nation we would become great and sovereign again. We’d show the same spirit we did at Dunkirk and Agincourt.

Suddenly we’re worried that some supermarkets will close for a bit.

Called tonight at Aldi in Wath just after 8pm, all bread shelves were bare, fresh veg shelves empty, a little fresh fruit on shelves, toilet rolls & wet wipes all gone, hardly any milk on shelves, even 4 pack tin beans shelves empty, with all them beans they will need the toilet rolls.
Needed diesel so went up to Morrisons at Cortonwood, got there just after 8.30pm, young lass working there said people had been panic buying fuel, & that they had run out of diesel, & that a tanker had come to refill tanks just before 8pm.
after getting fuel I ventured over to the Morrisons store, got a couple of Warburtons farmhouse bread that we use, only 8 on shelves, they had plenty of the cheap crap bread, again not much milk on the shelves, we use filtered milk, none left. The till lady said people had raided the toilet roll & wet wipes in the afternoon, when they restocked.

My nephew works at Tesco on nights at Wombwell, he said last night a couple in their 30s came in, bothe with masks on, gloves & scarfs, has he fetched the toilet rolls in a cage onto the shop floor, people were just taking them out of the cage, he did not have any left to put on shelves.
