I try to avoid all contact with the Daily Mail, although it's not as bad as the Express which even the most earnest bogroll hoarder would keep at a distance.
I also avoid question time as it infuriates me due to obvious politicisation of all answers by most of the panellists. It's just like a series of party political broadcasts together with a vacuous "neutral celebrity" who doesn't understand the question to start with (IMHO)
I'm not sure I've seen a non angry version!
RA, you know this. He's a recognised "friend" of HAMAS and Hezbollah. A comment he has made several times.
Conversely, he has slammed the BBC for Israels right to exist. Has met Hezbollah on the west bank. Yet refused Israel with a holocaust invite.
This is the fuel for the fire talked about. But you know this as said.
Swale has told you before to not waste your time and converse with me. Hypocritically, advice he can't follow himself.
Tricky...I know you loath Corbyn but honestly to describe him as someone who ‘loves Muslim terrorist organisations’ is laughable.
Yep, I know Swale has suggested I’m wasting my time ‘talking’ to you...and there are occasions when I take his point...but ‘told and instructed me’? I think not. As for him responding to you...there are times when you’re very, very annoying.![]()
View from the non-party-partisan faction?
I've followed Starmer for a decade or so and I think he's an excellent choice (although having also followed the Labour membership for some time they can only have got things right by accident, what a rabble) and I think he will be an effective thorn in the side of the current administration both through the current fubar and when things return to somewhere like normal. Looking ahead to 2024 or whenever it would be nice to have neither Antisemetism nor Islamaphobia muddying the electoral waters and that would be an achievement on his part
Sorry RA, it is not laughable.
A prominant politician who is " friends" with organisations that demand the annihilation of a state and won't talk to said state has me concerned.
Also a man who over 35 years has been friends with the IRA, calling them freedom fighters and campaigning for pardons for them, whilst demanding prosecutions of UK service people. Certainly doesn't leave a very sweet taste in the mouth.
When the Muslim terror irganisations, sing his praises, then perhaps you should be more open as to why.
Annoying or not. This is a free country and anyones opinion counts. In Swales head, if you don't agree with what he screams, the insults start.
Yep, sounds like momentum tactics to me.
Even Corbyn has tried to reign them in, but failed. And folks wonder who drove core Labour members away?
We’ll have to agree to disagree on Corbyn who I thought you’d said you’d be happy not to mention again.
Suffice it to say...one man’s terrorist is another man’s ‘freedom fighter’...and listening to what people have to say is not always the same as supporting them.
I’m glad he’s gone, but before you accuse me of having ‘terrorist sympathies’ too, I abhor the tactics used in this country and elsewhere against civilians and have nothing but contempt for the perpetrators of such acts.
The ‘annoying’ thing was - slightly - tongue in cheek, but when you talk about Swale ‘screams and the insults start’ you might want to look at many of your own contributions.
I don't want to talk about Corbyn. I said that, but I was only following through what was started.
Starmer still has a bad stain to remove, that the man has left.
I didn't accuse you of anything either.
My point was more along the lines, of how can a senior politician be neutral in whats best for the country, with friends like that?
Swale is irrelevent to me.
I'm not the only one he insults. I give it back yes, but he's the one who loves to bring me into virtually every comment or rant he makes.
That's why I need to make it clear, I am straight.
He isn't playing tap tap, kissy with me.
Oh come on, when you spout hypocrisy about anti antisemitism, when your posts have been littered with racism and bigotry about other races religions and nationalities you really have no place to stand and no defence!
As I've said before, your such a simpleton, that you see everything in black and white, and then to cap it all you trot out the biased views that you have picked up from a right wing media which is written to appeal to simpleton's like yourself.
I haven't an issue with other peoples opinions, unless like yours their are based on fantasy! It wasn't your opinion I was challenging anyway, it was the hypocrisy, thats clear in that post to anyone with more than half a brain cell.
I know you think your smarter than you are, but really if your going to comment on complicated political issues about which you haven't the slightest clue, then you are going to look very foolish.
In all situations there are two sides to a story, nothing excuses the terrible acts that were committed on both sides BUT whether an organisation is a terrorist or a freedom fighter all depends upon perspective. Nation States commit atrocities, in wars and phony wars, the UK sells arms to authoritarian regimes that use them to kill civilians, whether by design or as collateral. The UK has a history of not exactly treating the citizens of the countries they colonised very fairly to say the least when those citizens expressed a wish for independence.
Sweeping generalisations are convenient but don't reflect the facts, in most of these disputes neither side comes out very well. But then thats humans for you, they always can justify why what they do is right and the other side doing the same thing is wrong.
Corbyn was very clear about the need for dialogue, he was also clear about upholding what was agreed in peace talks he also understood that in order to get progress to achieve peace sometimes you have to agree with things that may be hard to stomach, thats political reality. Why Mandela was condemned as a terrorist and then lauded as a freedom fighter.
Even Maggie was talking to the IRA even though it was pretended otherwise.
I didn't agree with a lot of things Corbyn said, in fact in some areas I thought he was rather bizarre if not stupid, but thats true of many politicians and indeed people. But much of what you lay at his door has been made up and exaggerated by the media and right wing commentators.
I mean FFS! Johnson wrote articles in the Torygraph about europe that he admitted were simply him making things up that would appeal to the old fogeys that read the paper! We have as a PM someone who admits he made a living by writing complete lies in the media! And you ****ing voted for his party!!!
The only thing that you should be concerned about is your simple inability to to understand complex issues, which is obvious from your posts. Best stick to subjects you have half a clue about, rather than regurgitating half arsed views from the right wing media and internet.
The only screams from me are the laughter at the crap peddled by you in your posts, as for insults, again your posts seem to confirm what I say, if the truth insults you so be it, not my problem.
I generally post a response, not because I think anything will sink into that dumb brain of yours, I know it won't but because its entertaining to poke fun at you. Though your such an easy target I do feel cruel sometimes.
