There's a lot that doesn't add up with all of this. It seems as if the manufacturers out there do want to do their bit but either aren't being asked or offers of help are going unanswered. I think that Piers Morgan is one of the few in doing a good job in holding these people to account and showing that many of them do not have a grasp on basic statistics. Just this morning I saw him asking a minister how many people were tested yesterday. He didn't know so Piers told him. I don't doubt they're doing their best but it doesn't seem an unreasonable ask that a country like ours can turn out PPE at short notice without importing Chinese cr*p. It also doesn't seem unreasonable to ask why there was no contingency in place for a viral pandemic with stockholding of PPE.

Following on from the swine flu epidemic the French stocked huge quantities of surgical masks. Two years later this decision was widely criticised as a waste of money and stocks were drastically reduced as it was decided to rely on Just in Time deliveries from China. The Yanks under Obama followed a similar course. Hindsight hey!

Biggest waste of time question from tonight so far. 'In light of the UK death toll passing 20,000 is their any thought of easing the lockdown"

I really do wish someone would just answer "No"
