    Two points, Andy.

Surely the title of this thread, ‘Even the Tory Party are blaming Johnson!’ implies that this isn’t actually an exercise in party politics or Tory bashing but an observation that things have become so bad that even the Party of government is exasperated with many of those in the Cabinet and their own ‘leader’. I for one have written of the need for a competent coalition and while I despair of those such as Johnson, Williamson, Patel, Hancock and Mogg that isn’t the same as ‘Tory bashing’.

If TTR and, to a lesser extent the (usually) infinitely better informed GP, object so strongly to criticism of those above then shouldn’t they be saying why and making a case for the current ‘leadership’, rather than repeatedly just launching personal attacks on those of us who are alarmed at the handling of Covid and Brexit related matters, and accusing us of negativity and sniping?

Farage or Mogg would be perfect replacements for Borris IMO. I'll just put on my tin hat!

Or you could explain why, as opposed to chucking in the ‘grenade’ or, in all probability, just taking the ****.

Farage is only interested in promoting things that are beneficial to Farage.

Mogg wants to go back to the times when folk like us would tug our forelocks and grovel at his feet.

The less we see of either, the better I'll feel.

Right pair of Jodrells IMO and I think MoP agrees, His comment was merely intended to yank a few chains........

You have to become an MP first how many times Farage failed

I Can't think of a more Party Political focussed thread title to be honest, about as Tabloidy as it gets!

    On two seperate subjects,

I'm hoping from the words I see coming from new BBC DG Tim Davie that the (what I thought were endemic and irreversible) failings of BBC output I've whinged on about will be addressed. Great start from him to be instrumental in the restoration of (a sung) Land Of Hope And Glory into last night of the proms and the reasons given. Tony Hall has been a disaster IMO. I've seen what he's said on my hobby horse, diversity, and he seems bang-on right. He's got a scrap on with the PC brigade though.

What was your decision on your holiday, and if you don't mind sharing, why? We are determined to 'take a break' in late October and our plans have cjanged four times in a week!

I'm looking to visit a few friends in Blighty once the quarantine requirement for visitors from the Netherlands has been lifted. Might not be far off. It applies to all countries/regions with over 20 new cases per 100,000 of the population. The past 4 weeks the Dutch figure has been just over 20.5

    Almost there.

The woman on the news who described fellow (maskless) passengers on her flight back from Greece as ‘uneducated where Covid is concerned’ appeared to be using ‘doublespeak’ for ‘my flight was full of d**k’eads’.

I’ll pm you about holidays, Andy.

There was one dickhead (a woman actually so not sure the phrase applies) on my flight who abandoned her mask after ten minutes and refused to even acknowledge anyone who asked her to put it on, including cabin staff, and despite the fact that her travelling companion wore one throughout the flight!
