He can play for Turkey can't he?
If so and he gets a call up then he's every chance of moving on for a a decent sum.
Have we done that with any signings over the last few seasons?
Moore
Vaulks
Ajayi
Rodac
That list isn't endless!

True enough camiller...we are assuming he will make the step up as you say. Personally I think he would as he will have a bit more time to play in this league.
The important thing is that he signs on the dotted line now. who knows what will happen in the future...

Two of those were loan players. I suppose it's a case of you pays your money (or gets your money) or makes your choice. Without the clause Newcastle might want 1M for him. We might pay that and sell him on for 5M and be laughing or pay it and he doesn't work out/gets injured and we'd be crying. Maybe paying the 300K and only getting 2.5M of the 5M is the better bet, who knows?
Yep a decent bit of negotiation there by Mr Value...assuming this is all correct of course. If they had stuck out for 1million we would have had no chance to get him.In short, it made him buyable.
For me its a decent deal ..
We get to get a quality player for relatively peanuts .We improve him and sell him for 2m we make 700k profit and maybe reap the rewards of having another season in the championship . That's the only way we will get quality into the side by wheeling and dealing unless TS sells to some chinese bloke with 5 billion spare
I think that's what happened when we signed Danny Ward from Hudds
Only £300k for a very good player but a 50% sell on clause when he went to Cardiff
Even better FC
