We'll bounce back on this one.

    Notts 2 -Alty 0

    Roberts, Wooton

Hopefully I predict correctly again (It didn't bring me any joy to be right about the Dover result).

Anyone predicting an away victory might wish to profit from their prediction. Bookies offering a HUGE 7/1 on an Altrincham win. Has to be worth a small play.

Put your money where your mouth is.

... does anyone recognise the 'syndrome' that seems to happen to some clubs who have just missed out on promotion/a cup final? It invariably takes time to recover the form that took them to that near success. In Notts case, the players had to maintain a level of fitness for play-offs and the Trophy semi final under strange (CV19) conditions; which most other clubs did not. Add to that the introduction of new players. It should be no surprise we have a slow ish start. Calm down, some of you ...

A very fair and sensible comment. Please let us all reserve judgement until we have played at least ten games, and then we will all have a clear idea in which direction we are heading.

That post reminds me of two syndromes - clutching at straws syndrome and head in the sand syndrome.

When the fixture computer hands you Dover and Altrincham as your first two games, a slow start is the last thing you would expect.

This post reminds me of two syndromes- Knee jerk reaction syndrome (we are 1 game into a new season) & Notts fans love something or some one to moan about syndrome (not your usual style EP but some certainly seem to be enjoying a good whinge I bet they couldn't wait for the season to begin) COYP.

Notts should be winning this game and comfortably. Ardley needs to sack off the diamond midfield and get back to the 4-4-2 or if he is that bothered about messing with a formation look at a 4-2-3-1.

At home we should be playing as many of our attacking players as possible.

The 4-2-3-1 would suit the players we have at our disposal. Back 4 picks itself.
The 3 and 1 would be Enzio, Rodrigues and Cal with Wooton up front.
Those 3 I mentioned should be destroying none league.
