For me he's tactically not capable over taking our club to next level now I'm not talking about the playoffs or anything I know that would be reach for 99% of managers but I'm talking about doing a Luton in surviving then kick on a few more places the season after.

Over I think Warne has always got the best out of the players in terms of desire and work rate I just don't think he's getting the best out of them in terms of ability and its all down to tactical side.

No he hasn't run his time. We're losing narrowly to teams that have single players who command higher wages than our entire team. Warne is working with very limited resources which have become increasingly depleted in recent weeks. And yet results before the recent bad run (mainly against front running teams) mean we are still in with a shout. y view is he's getting the most out of what we have and what we can afford.

That's the answer then let's pay our squad twice as much and they will automatically improve.

    Ludicrous?

Yes because pay level doesn't necessarily mean they are any good

It's called the Dexter Blackstone theory

But the ones we're playing against are. That's why they're that little bit better than us unless we're right on it and they have a bit of an off day.

Yes true in a way but the standard ( or wages) of the opposition has no real effect on us having only 1 shot on target from 17 attempts, or hitting the first defender from a corner or not being able to pass a ball to a team mate 2 yards away.

I agree, who else could the chairman find to do as good a job as Warney with such tight restrictions on the budget he has endured.

    Very few fill that description

But it doesn't make PW any good as a football.manager just a good administrator

In all seriousness, I truly think Warne has done well this season with all the long term injuries and a tight arse budget. I just feel he needs help with his tactical side of management but won't ask for any or it shows him to be weak. Can you picture Warne saying to Stewart, 'can I bring XX in on a salary to help me I'm not doing so good'....he'd be straight out of the door as one who lacks morale fibre.

Seriously TS speaks of cash being available every January window but we all know this isn't true. 'Got to keep the natives happy' as they say....

I think the Blackstock saga, is still bruising in the boardroom, so no big wage earners allowed.
