We’ve needed one for a long time. Midfield’s been a problem since Yates went back and we let O’Connor go to Lincoln. Ardley was a midfielder himself, but he seems to favour players in his own image instead of big strapping bruisers. You need more of a balance at any level, but especially at level 5.

Reeves being suspended gives Ardley the chance to swap things around at Wealdstone. We know Doyle will start and probably JOB too, but I’d play Miller in place of an out-of-form Ruben and go back to the 4-2-3-1 that’s seen us play our best football this season. My XI would be:
