Excellent idea. Any discussion about it could remain on just the one thread, and those who didn't want to read it wouldn't have to.

A much better solution to the problem than this silly (in my opinion) blocking option.

How interesting that I read laddo's comment in relation to the thread but he didn't mean it that way and Elite didn't read it that way. I guess this perfectly illustrates NCM's recent state.

Fortunately there are now two dedicated threads for that kind of thing.

It's a great example and should be encouraged.

If the uptake is half decent it should not only significantly reduce the petty arguments which are rightly so unpopular on NCM but also the moaning about them by others#noexcuses.

The positive knock-on effect should also mean less baiting, goading, windups, car crash TV, abuse, bad language and bans and more discussion and heated debates about all things Notts

It's a great day for the #mission. Thank you Gump and 60YearsAPie this could and should be a game changer

That's the first hint you've given about the purpose of the 'mission'.

I now know one of the aims is to stifle free speech.

Also, if a blocked poster makes a post does it show an empty box or does the post just not appear at all? It could make things a bit difficult to follow if the next comment or two relate to a post that you haven't seen!

As I said, It's not something I'll be using.

Not at all I am all for free speech, as long as that speech doesn't clearly overstep the mark as we've sadly repeatedly seen recently from two now currently banned persons. I'm pro free speech always have been always will be.

Free speech is allowed on all social media platforms highlighted which is great, and I believe there are block features on all of them but clearly it doesn't stop people posting disgusting abusive comments which shouldn't be tolerated. Hence the boycott, race in particular seems to be used as the easy target and weapon of choice by these idiots.

This option to block/ignore really should be adopted by both for their own sake as much as NCMs.

So it's not foolproof, and you can't completely ignore it but it's sure going to help some people on here

Both Laddo and Elite do occasionally post interesting views so it would be a shame to block them. It is obviously their endless bickering that is the problem. Perhaps they just need to block each other.
