So commenting on how happy players "bears no relation"? How do you know there is no issue, massive or otherwise? Were you present when Meslier was told he was being dropped, and why)? What reaction would you expect from Meslier? And if Coco is named as starting keeper next season how would you expect Mesluer to react?

Just because Meslier was indeed at ER, and seemed "affable" it doesn't mean he is happy being dropped, and his agent certainly won't be, particularly when you have the likes of Spurs (and others), expressing interest.

Prevention is better than cure, so they say. I imagine most supporters would prefer Coco to be moved on and Meslier retained, but we may be left with the reverse, then how content would we all be?

NONE of us were there when the selection decisions were made. How do you know for sure that Meslier wasn't happy to sit out...so he wasn't injured and miss his first chance to represent his country? A lot of guess work going on without proof. 😮

I don't know, and I don't suggest I do. My posts on this matter are more or less all questions, and responses (so far), are all is OK, without actually answering the key points regarding the "what would you think etc....?" But at least I'll admit to not having evidence (yet), unlike those wearing rose-tinted glasses who appear to be depending on faith and a goodly dose of wishful thinking.

    Hope I'm wrong, genuinely do.

Noticeable in recent weeks how many players have said how much they like the manager, coaches and Victor Orta in recent weeks.

Pablo and Bera the latest to do so in their official exit interview posted by the club on you tube. Bamford always speaks fondly and well of Orta too.

What seems pretty clear this season is that not only have we performed above our realistic hopes but we have a united and happy squad that get along.

Rapha also recently quashed rumours of Liverpool/Man U exit with a flattered but I am very happy here statement.

I am sure Meslier bears no ill will to any of them and knows he will still be number 1 next year having signed permanently last summer and now being recognised internationally.

Think Orta pulled a blinder last summer with his signings for first team and u23 and hope he can do the same this summer. Perraud, if that signing comes off, looks like a perfect fit and should grow Into a star with MB influence

One of the great things for me about the current management and ownership is that they seem to try to do thinks the right way which is in sharp contrast to some of the recent past.

The best news is the positivity around Bielsa signing up for another year, he will be a hard act to follow when he leaves. Imagine Frankie or Sam trying to follow him

We all hope you are wrong and that it was an amicable decision. I guess it was the fact you jumped in early to say it was a disgrace that he didn't get to play...when both parties may have been happy to miss the last fixture. Chill mate ☺...I don''t think they are stupid enough to jeopardise his future at the club for the sake of it. So I'm confident...without knowing the facts...that he wasn't peeved off about it. 👌

Slight correction....I never said the decision was disgraceful (please refer to all my posts in the subject if you wish). I suggested it might not have been amicable, but the result of Bielsa laying down a marker following the Burnley game, as opposed to making sure Meslier was able to stay fit. We will see in due course how Meslier reacts.

I'll leave you to knitpick about actual wording.....as usual. 🙄 I think we all understood your point of view in thinking he was hard done by. Whatever....

Not "nitpicking", just not willing to have motives given to what I posted that aren't there, just as you have insisted on getting things straight, as usual.

On the last sentence, sure I think he was hard done by, but NOT the main point of why I started the thread.
