I think someone has mentioned an ex player / manager Grumps
Tony Stewart needs some new tablets.
Demands the manager gets promotion send when he does he never backs him enough to stay in the league
What's the point other than the one season rufc make s profit from under spending and the TV money
Gotcha Flour. I think I took the "past board member" comment to mean that Clarkey was talking about defaming Boothy, which of course can't be done in law as he's deceased.
As you say, libelling anybody still alive is very much a different story - unless true and can be proven of course.
It was said that Ken Booth was putting £10,000 a week into the club, out of his own pocket.
Tony Stewarts comments regarding the club now & in the past, regarding promotion
& relegation.
One statement saying the club has learnt from mistakes when relegated, & that they
will be rectified if promoted again.
But this has been B*llS*it each time, ok the club is stable money wise, but with
Tony Stewart being a businessman he knows the £ numbers between the championship
& division one.
To me the club not getting a left back in last season, to shore our prime weakness up,
was a big mistake, with the blame mainly on Warne, then Stewart not having a football
minded boardroom member to state the obvious, advising Stewart to tell Warne to get
cover in.
Stewart comes out each season end with the same statement, time to reel in the replay
message, & come to terms on what the club needs.
I have been a supporter of Rotherham United since 1960, followed them through the
good & bad years, worked for the club from being a youngster, getting funds for the
club, with my family.
Time to stop giving the rally call every year, which is just a ploy to sell season tickets,
yes I will get my season ticket, but please Tony Stewart, stop trying to pull the
wool over our eyes.
Please learn to hit the return key...
I just fail to comprehend how anyone that remembers the 4th division days at Millmoor can possibly criticise Tony Stewarts stewardship of the club.
