What annoys me is all the puns tbh. If a thread gets infected with excessive punnery I keep reading furlong.

I would have thought you wouldn't keep reading furlong.

Yes that would actually make sense. Note to self: Do not post before coffee in the mornings

Agreed, says alot but says nothing of interest. Thinks he's still in the England squad and they're all his best mates. Points out tactical stuff we all worked out 20 mins before he mentioned it. I know he's got his fans on here but I also find Clive Tyldesley an insufferable fool who comes out with some right pompous twonk. ITV are winning the battle of the Co commentators though and BBC winning in the studio, Mark pougatch is terrible.

I find him hilarious... Against Germany, Saka picked the ball up on the halfway line in front of the entire German team and he stated that Saka has found a nice pocket of space! Absolutely comical

Most of my irritants have already been mentioned, except the cliche "...managed to get his shot away".

Thought this thread was actually going to be about Jermaine Jenas! No idea how he got - or keeps - that BBC role. He's desperate. Anyone else notice he's always saying 'as I said earlier' in a bid to show how accurate his previous comments were.

Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard give intelligent articulate insight, the contrast is embarrassing.

At first I thought it might be a diversity thing but they could easily replace Jenas with Ferdinand, Micah Richards or even a different diversity angle, Emma Hayes who has really impressed me when she's been co commentator(might be difficult with her day job as a manager though), she's insightful, intelligent, the exact opposite of Jenas. I just don't understand why they keep using Jenas, I've not seen a single bit of positive feedback about his co-commentary

I can only think Micah Richards is there for his comedy value ... and what a fidget.
