Pitch looked good from a distance SB but when I looked a bit closer there were a few patches of dead grass and a couple of bare spots. Just before kick of the groundsmen we’re were prodding and raking some to the left side of the goal as you viewed from the Ponty. Not really good for a newly laid pitch at this time of year when it’s not been played on!

Time passing and the ongoing decline in the overall stadium condition means a lower sale value and could be a ploy by Chien, Conway & Co. Buy at X price take it or leave it Mr. Cryne / Barnsley MBC or we relocate the club.

We did but the City Group, who employed him, wouldn't release him without him working his notice so Conway has been CEO over the summer. The reason for Conway sh1tting on Watford at the last minute after they had sold tickets for the friendly is that City Group agreed to release Ahmad ? earlier if Barnsley filled Man City's late friendly gap problem. The arseoyle Conway jumped at the chance with little care over BFC's reputation in football. I don't know if he has arrived yet.

Nobody's mentioned our goal yesterday which I thought was excellent .

Fantastic pass from Palmer and a well timed run and finish from the much underated Freiser .

Does some running does Dom and not always seen or appreciated last season viewing on computer at home .

    Well played lad .

It was indeed a very good goal, great through ball and a tidy finish.
My only concern about yesterday was the 8 bookings. If a neutral reads the stats they would imagine us being a dirty team but in my opinion nothing could be further from the truth.I always think a good referee should stamp out the cynical fouls early to gain some respect. What he did was to allow Coventry the freedom of Oakwell to kick maul and attack anything in a red shirt during the first half.In the second half he set himself up by giving a soft booking. He'd set a precedent now and some of the bookings were so soft because he didn't control the early stages better.

You were there Bill and I was not so I can only rely on highlights and opinions.

Did Barnsley deserve to beat Coventry over the 90 odd minutes ?
