I'm happy with this how this has panned out. I genuinely think we will be OKAY this season.

So did I, however, unlike my mate, alf, I was far too polite to mention it!

Have Burnley at last acquired a new version of Windows? Well we will all know in the next 19 hours.

Our interest in Monsieur Max was first reported in the media around the middle of July, Lyon accepted our offer for him some time ago, the fact that this transfer saga dragged on for around six weeks was not due to either club, it can only have been a reluctance to sign for us on the part of the player and his agent. There is a further clue in the statement by Monsieur Max that his preferred destination was Hertha Berlin. It seems obvious, to me anyway, that the lad does not particularly want to be here, and players who don't want to be at a club tend not to stay there very long. Of course he could find life in this area very pleasant, and settle in for a long stay, but I know Lyon, I know the life style, the climate, the culture, I know the French, and it's my opinion that he and his family will find it hard to settle here and he'll want away soon enough.

Don't get me wrong I can see why all linked players are seeking other clubs rather than BFC. What this says is our brand of football is not exciting enough and I must say SD does not seem to have the clout in this division so Mr Pace how do you intend to rectify our predicament something has to give otherwise we will go down with our tails between our legs. Whilst I do not want any players to go but McNeill is expendable - he does not hold down a key position so if bids in excess of £30m should be taken and reinvested in players who are more consistent. Who knows we might go and buy Sam Vokes or Stephen Ward or Naki Wells or Tandai Darwinka or some other old fart we have sold of late
I think I need to change the thread title again lancaster100.

I got that 100% wrong lancaster100. Roberts at £2.5 million is absolutely wonderful business. Hats off to Mr Pace. Super buy - can we squeeze another one in before midnight, or am I being greedy?
