    Don't forget--

The arseoyle Conway has looked into Barnsley FC playing at another ground, as far away as Lancashire, so that he would not have to pay rent to Oakwell Holdings (Cryne and Council). The views and feelings of fans are a long way towards the back of his considerations.

If these owners got full control of the Oakwell site it would probably mark the end of football in the Oakwell area of town and lead to either groundsharing (Rotherham, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Hillsborough ?)and/ or the construction of a cheap soulless bowl similar to the Keepmoat, financed by a loan serviced by the club, on an industrial estate miles away from Barnsley centre.

My message is--Do Not Trust Conway. Those that hang on his every word and blow warm smoke up his arse will be very disappointed and betrayed.

Do you hold details of the Commercial Rental/Lease Agreement between Oakwell Holdings and Conway ? Such agreements are not the same as private landlord/tenant agreements. Many factories commercially rent their premises from Finance Companies under all kinds of responsibilities.
For example who is responsible for pitch/ grounds maintenance at Oakwell ?

Yep - it dosent mean because you don’t own a property that you don’t spend on it.
If it’s lease hold and you have permission to develop from the owners then there’s no problem.

Yes - but - you could look at this in a different way.
Ward sold to Blackburn for £5.5M.
John Dennis owned the club at that time - so I would imagine there wasn’t that much restriction on what he did with the money.
    Options:
    1) Pocket the money.
    2) Spend money on the team.
    3) Pocket some and spend a bit on the club.
    4) Develop the North Stand to hold 5,000 so we are able to accommodate any away support in the future and by doing so generate a sizeable income from it.

John Dennis was the Chairman not owner, he had backing from good local business people , Mick Hayselden, John Kelly , Chris Harrison, and a few more, and just to put a few straight " again " this consortium paid a lot less than the 8 million that's been bandied around , if your taken in by there ways ? You will end up disappointed ,

    Try this one.

A man buys a cheap car and puts down a deposit, agreeing to pay the rest in instalments on agreed dates.

When it comes to the instalments he refuses to pay claiming there are issues with the car which he hadn't checked properly before he bought it.

The original owner of the car has to take the purchaser to Court to get the agreed money.

Who is the legal owner ?
