Greetings all, back after password issues, couldn't get logged on for weeks. Well, so many positives after that: 3pts, clean sheet, clearly playing for the manager, a proper looking defence even though it was patchwork by the end, some decent play throughout the game, and in better fettle ahead of a trip to Ibrox. I've been wavering these past few weeks, probably like most, but I think today shows we have to be patient and back the manager. SF

That was an enjoyable 101 minutes. 3 at the back definitely helped and we looked a lot more assured. Losing Mackenzie, Ramsay & Gallagher alongside Considine already being out is going to be a real stretch on our defence.

You could see today every player running their heart out and tracking their men.

Just watched it again on Alba and Hibs McGregor is a dirty wee fvcker.

Edit - Lewis was very brave today, probably fearing for his place and nearly ended up unconscious twice!
Lewis has a broken nose it seems. Please don’t play him on Wednesday as the dirty c**** will play on that and unsettle him.

Just back from the game….a victory and that’s what counts. Good we kept a clean sheet and in fairness to Joe Lewis he certainly had a bit confidence about him today. He wasn’t tested much but didn’t look jittery at all. Losing Ramsay was a blow as the ball he layed on for Ramirez was fantastic. Great strike from Ramirez but the pass from Brown to Ramsay in the build up was sublime. The second half was a more difficult watch and in all honesty Bates gives me the fear in defence. I thought losing Gallagher (who was playing well before his injury) would be a major problem but Brown taking up that role eased the worry. Thought Ferguson and Longstaff didn’t do much at all. Watkins was great in patches but he doesn’t look any threat up front….just as well his link up play is superb at times. Hedges was kept quiet in the second half but you can see teams actually fear him when he is on the ball. Special mention to Ross McCrorie….thought he was outstanding today. Very strong defending and gave us encouragement with his strong tackling.
Well done Dons, the three points were deserved.

My prediction….2-0 (nil, that is when we don’t actually let in a goal)

It will be the start of a marvellous run.

Yes, sums up my thoughts too, although I thought Bates started to improve in the 2nd half. Only concern was that none of our subs brought anything to the game - think all 3 are bloating our squad for no real reason. Would have had Samuels on for Ramirez near the end too (if you're still allowed 4 subs?)

As I said yesterday I thought we would get something from the game. There seemed to be a real will to win amongst all of the players yesterday. Good to see. Let's carry that on in to Wednesday. Hope our walking wounded are ok. More than 10k there yesterday.

Very nice cutback from Ramsey laid it on a plate for Ramirez and it was a decent finish.
Scott Brown has to take most of the credit for the goal the quality of his play in the middle of the park and pass to Ramsey was different class.

Not getting too carried away as it's only our first win in 11 games, but its a valuable three points and here's hoping we go on the next 11 games plus without a dropped point.
