Unfortunately they have a history of reacting to events rather than being proactive

The lighting is not great down there either, especially with all the kerbs. Who decides if they let home fans down New York Way or not. Given the amount of police for Bolton game, they must have had some influence.

I think you’re being generous about their history of reacting to events.

Wilkinsons lol, just doesn’t sound right does it.

It will always be “Tops” to me!! Was a town to be proud of then.

I don’t disagree with too much on this thread tbf, however the Rotherham public have to take some of the blame, they deserted the town for Meadowhall and Parkgate. Before anyone mentions druggies, Asylum seekers, beggars blah blah blah, people deserted way way before any of these issues.

I live in Barnsley and the town centre is absolutely booming, very busy, very vibrant. There’s a Flannels, (normally only seen in big cities or huge complexes) and Nando’s about to open too. Barnsley also has plenty of druggies, Beggars and Asylum seekers so that excuse just doesn’t wash in afraid.

Didn't that building used to be Tesco many, many moons ago? About 10 years ago when I visited that area it was a small bright spot in Rotherham with Wilkinsons, Tesco over the footbridge and the small shops in the little courtyard. By my visit in 2017 it was a wasteland once Tesco had moved across town.
