Great result. Well done to the players and the management. Warne is proving week in, week out what an asset he is to our club as well as Barker and Hamshaw.

Also special mention to Andy Warrington who has helped along with our greatest goalkeeping since…….???? Certainly as long as I’ve been watching us. Vickers is outstanding and the Viking is a great second choice.

This was the game I was most worried about. Plymouth away is always going to be a bloody tough fixture but when they are pushing for a promotion slot and in great form I really thought a point would have been a credible return. To bag all three is just sensational.

Yes Plymouth had a couple of great chances, but so did we. It was an even game between two form sides and we were the ones who capitalised. That is the difference between sides that go up and sides that play well but don't get over the line (before anyone starts I know there's a LONG way to go this season and nothing is certain, but my point remains). People seem intent on criticising when the games are close but we simply cannot steamroller every team with one sided hammerings. How many clubs ever do? It's a tough league with some very good clubs wanting to play in the Championship next season.

So a quick note about riding our luck. Yes, can't deny it, we certainly have a few times this season. But is it always pure blind good luck or is it more about the mentality of our opposition at the time? We're the form team, we're top of the table and we keep momentum going for 90+ minutes every game. We don't let up. Maybe, just maybe, oppositions fluff their lines in front of goal because the pressure gets to them when they realise they might be one of the very few to actually pierce our armour? The only goal we've conceded in Feb was the screamer against Wigan, their lad took the chance and found the net with a worldy. Other teams seem to create better, much easier chances and then stutter.

Plus anyone who lumps Vickers' outstanding goalkeeping in with luck is completely off the mark. No luck in that, he is simply a very good keeper who has done his job extremely well. It helps that he's got tough competition from Viktor, who's been very impressive too.

We're not perfect, we're not MASSIVE, we make mistakes etc etc, but I am loving this season. UTM
Good post, particularly the observation that however well we're clicking and even playing badly you're right, we keep going, don't give up and opposition find that incredibly unsettling, snatch at even good chances but even then find a keeper in top form even if they get it on target.

Classic Millers 21-22 away performance today and we're becoming almost predictable with goals around the hour. Wiles can go missing sometimes but had that ability to make the class moves that make a promotion chasing team into a championship one. Wonderful run and pass from him for the goal and Smudge had not much else going for him today but has that bit of class in front of goal that Plymouth lacked. And despite the chances they created, today was a bit unusual in that I felt quite relaxed in the last 15 mins that we would hold on and even get the 2nd (Freddie!!).

Interesting post from Cam above re the 80-81 season. I went to nearly every game that season and I remember some quite dire but hard fought 1-0 wins but also many draws. This teams away form is simply immense. And yes we've enjoyed some luck but to do this time and again has to be so much more than luck. Still much to play for but we have to be loving, loving what this team keep giving us this season. Proud of all our team and staff

Another three points at the business end of the season is mightily impressive

Did the EFL hand the league trophy to us at the end, if not they should have done

Win on Tuesday and avoid defeat to the MKD and it's all over bar the maths
