Lyndsay, like the terrier he has been all game, wins the ball in the middle of the park and passes it to Barlaser. Barlaser sees Ogbene darting down the right and feeds him. He has a bit to do but slips past 2 defenders. Can he cross the ball? His crosses have not beat the first defender all game but this one does. Someone comes ghosting in at the far post thru a ruck of players. You get a glimpse of a bald head as the ball arrows into the roof of the net.

The millers fans go wild behind the net. Some are on the pitch. A bald Irish man is smothered in bodies both by players and fans...the whistle blows its all over...

    Its written in the stars...!

If it comes down to us bringing on a one legged man who's never kicked a ball for us in the hope of 'saving' our season I feel most of our fans will have died of nervous exhaustion by then and wouldn't be alive to see it. I'll settle for a Smudge hat trick in the first 30 minutes and a fat lady singing as half time entertainment.

My scenario is similar, but different. We are winning 1-0 and have steadily dropped back, and then some. It looks like we might hang on and see out an anticipated four minutes of added time.

Their final sub isn't particularly good, but being young is quite nippy. He makes a diagonal run into the box, Wilesy sticks out a tired leg and..

We haven't conceded a penalty for some time (how long?). Victor goes the wrong way and the dream is over.

Having missed out on promotion the players confidence is shot and the play-offs are a damp squib.

    It's torture.

Don't blame me. Brian the Blade tipped us for promotion some weeks ago and since then life has been a steady drip of disappointment

Chill out everyone….. we will win and Wigan will draw at Shrewsbury making us champions.

    It’s as simple as that.

A possible sad scenario is that after 45 games and all of this effort our fans hopes and dreams could be crushed by a dodgy refereeing decision.

Wanted a bit of a rest from thinking about the match, so I thought, I know I’ll catch up on Emmerdale. First person I saw. Dean Andrews. Who does he support?

But seriously, haven't we seen some really dodgy referee decisions this season?

Would be a shame if it all goes down the pan with another one
