I wonder if Burchy got the gig because he accepted he had to do stuff their way or no job? Can't see it myself as grabbing him was considered a coup.
I guess we won't know as we all know the owners are very tight lipped. So we can only speculate as to what level of influence they do or don't have. We are left "wondering" and are forced to start a lot of statements with the word "If", "Perhaps" or ",Maybe" we just don't know. In regards to Burchnall, IF this style is what he used in Norway and Sweden then he didn't have to accept anything it would be how he likes to operate. Next time their is a meet the owners event with a Q&A session maybe someone on here can ask them directly.

Nobody has said we should be happy, where does this come from? I'm sure when you watched the EFL highlights you will have also seen clubs far, far bigger than Notts (and many other in their league) struggling to get out leagues their fans presumably don't feel they should even be in. But they are for a common reason. Huge clubs like Sheffield Wednesday, Sunderland only making the playoffs. Oh and clubs like Ipswich, Pompey, Charlton and Bolton not gettign close to the playoffs and finishing below clubs like Wycombe and Rotherham. Don't make out that Notts are a one off in this predicament, no better example than League One to illustrate both sides of the coin#balance
The point is, and I’m sure someone as intelligent as you doesn’t need this pointing out, is that Notts fans don’t ‘moan’ any more than any other set of fans, and we have much more reason than most.

Now you know I wasn't an Ardley fan, but remember nob jockey wanted the ball played on the ground as well. That was part of Nolans problem, trying to keep the owner happy but not his own style of play

If I remember rightly, IB said he liked to play fast attacking football in one of his interviews after becoming coach. By all accounts we are not seeing that, wonder why? Do the Danes want to see a Danish style of play?

Haven't you heard of "only on NCM"?

It used to be one of laddo's favourite phrases.

Even some Man City fans will moan they haven't won the champions league, Fulham that they always go straight back down etc etc. The only clubs I can't see many moans at are Liverpool and maybe Newcastle at the moment. We see clubs no bigger than Notts who were on the same level as us play championship and league one regularly and we're playing Kings Lynn and Wealdstone. As BFP says, why the **** would we be happy?!

You maybe right but how do you know? Maybe we can ask someone who spends '5 mins' on other clubs message boards?
My point is for every Accrington and Wycombe that gets quoted on here there is a Sunderland and a Bradford. No club no matter what size compared to their surroundings in the division automatically deserve to be any higher than they are if they aren't run in a proper fashion. Is that statement wrong?

What I'm far more confident of is that NCM or Facebook groups or Twitter posts aren't a fair representation of the overall views of the fanbase. Some take what's written on here far too seriously IMO and believe it represents the global view.

Like Elite rightly points out "only on NCM" is indeed a favoured phrase of mine for a long time because I believe it to be true. Whereas others believe a little poll on NCM does reflect the views of the far wider fanbase.

Hopefully the meaning will sink in

If you want to believe that NCM has more negative posters than other footy boards that is your right.

Those of us who have read other boards know it's complete bollox however.

If fans are wanting a player of that ilk to start it really says something about the state of Notts.

And fans comparing Burchnall to Ardley at SM really? The expectations are two different worlds totally, anyone who goes to the games can TELL we are a totally different outfit to Ardleys Notts, much better, dominating games we should be. We really do have a certain set of fans who just like to moan, I hear it all the time, we’re winning 1-0 and keeping possession looking for probing passes instead some fans want us to gerrit forward even though no one is free upfield. Ridiculous, as ridiculous as fans wanting Vincent to start.
    Interesting post.
I like Vincent and hope he make a good player for us, he may also have some role to play in our, end of season / play-off efforts - but I have to agree with the points made in the first paragraph

I didn’t make the original comment about Notts fans moaning, you’ll have to ask that person why he thinks Notts fans are particularly bad in that respect. My own view is that lots of football fans use social media to complain about the club they support, and that Notts fans aren’t any different or worse in that respect, especially given the fact that we’re in non league. Oldham fans were on the pitch the other week and got a game abandoned, that hasn’t happened lately at ML. Some might say that’s surprising, given the fact we’ve had lots of clowns in charge of the club.

Actually I think most people have been very positive this season, but that Aldershot was a bit of a dealbreaker. We all know that 1st or 2nd was a big ask this season, but getting tw@tted at the fourth worse club in the league was inexcusable, especially given some of the other cockups we’ve had this season. People then had less patience when we pointlessly fannied about even more than usual against the worse club in the league.
