Depressing stuff as per usual. Interesting to see Considine blank the ego on his substitution. It will be interesting to see if he can actually get players to play for him in for the new season at a level above those he is used to at his previous club. More a fingers crossed than a belief sort of feeling on that one.

McInnes was done but he was still half decent when Cormack appeared. There is the issue.

Oddwin should be sacked immediately as he is not good enough and not the man to do the drastic rebuild that needs to be done.

Watkins is being asked to play a position he’s totally unsuited to playing. He’s not and has never been a lone striker, so to slag him off for that is harsh.

He needs to play in a free role off the main striker with talented quick thinking ball players round him. Besuijen might be one of those.

We played some of the best stuff in years when he played that position with Hedges and Wright working off him.

That’s how we use him. If Goodwin doesn’t want to setup that way then fair enough and get rid. The injuries are an issue too as he’s made of balsa wood sadly.

As for today, 0-0 about the best we could hope for. We did look far more solid first half with Considine in there which makes Goodwin’s decision not to use him recently even more baffling.

The usual ridiculous refereeing cost us too. The pen was a handball. There might have been a shove, but thats not why it was disallowed - shyte reffing.

Big summer for Goodwin and the club, he’s got a massive job on his hands. Good to hear him saying he’s not been good enough so far as well as the players. I think he knows the honeymoon is over and the jury is out.
