He might not go there but there will be murmours about Warney now. They might just realise that this is a manager who if properly supported in the championship would be an even bigger success.

I suspect the Paul has had the opportunity to move to a bigger club before but has remained loyal to the club. He also has a very special relationship with the owner. However, should he lose his best players in the transfer window and be unable to replace them with players of equal or higher ability he could become disenchanted and more open to approaches from other clubs.

Or he could equally be a manager that buys expensive failures.

As far as I'm concerned, IF a club wants Paul Warne and IF that club are willing to pay compensation to RUFC for breaking his contract and IF Paul Warne wants to go then we should let him go. I'm sure PW and TS have a good enough working relationship to be able to discuss this like the rational, level headed adults they seem to be.

It would also mean that Pocket was only 6 months out on his "Gone by Xmas" prediction

Such an outcome would also mean other changes, ie Barker and co moving on also

Possibly, but very unlikely. If Warne takes on a new challenge he will want familiar, loyal and supportive faces around him. I don't think he would move anywhere without Barker and Co. being part of the deal and them indicating that they would be prepared to join him.
