1st game- Would have been around 89/90. I think we beat Bury 4-0 and Dave Regis got a hat trick.

Best performance I think I’d say 5-0 against Bradford. At the time the footballing world was watching us, our brand new team destroyed the bookies favourites on the opening day.

Worst performance- so many to choose but I remember losing my head in the stands during the Jockey Scott era. We had a shambolic side that played awful football and the momentum from Big Sam just vanished.

    Best moment-
I was slightly too young to understand the consequences of the play off wins, so I’d say attending the opening of Juventus’ new ground. Such a lovely atmosphere and felt so special for us to be a part of it.

    Worst moment-
Coventry playoffs. Seeing them doing well in the championship still hurts. I’ve never left ML feeling so disgusted and such a sense of injustice from both games.

    Funniest moment-
    Steve Thompson interviews.

    Player enjoyed the most-
When I was young I loved Kevin Bartlett, purely because nobody could catch him.
In my early 20’s I’d say David Pipe. He was often the only positive in a period of awful football.
More recently; obviously Hughes but Ben Davies and Bishop were great players for us.

I’m a Notts fan from my Dad. Initially I was a junior red and supported Forest. I changed allegiance in the stand during the FA Cup win against Oldham.

    Notts in 3 words-
    Hope that kills

    1. First game and any memories of it
Saturday 24th March 1989: Notts County 1 Huddersfield Town 0 with a last-minute goal from Gary Lund. I timed my arrival perfectly to watch our amazing rise up the leagues under Neil Warnock.

    2. Best performance you've been to (or listened to if you can't get to games)
Notts County 5 Tranmere Rovers 1 at the start of Mick Walker’s tenure as manager

    3. Worst performance
As others have mentioned, Notts County 0 Macclesfield Town 5 sticks in my mind and speaks for itself, when I think Ian Richardson was unlucky enough to be in charge trying to sort out the mess left by others. That’s said, there were so many bad performances under Steve Thompson’s management (twice FFS!) that they all merge into one in my mind.

    4. Best moment as a Notts supporter
The obvious. Watching us win promotion to Division One (now the Premier League) by beating Brighton at Wembley.

    5. Worst moment
The game before it was announced that Haydn Green had saved the club back in 2003. I think it was a 1-1 draw with Luton. I can remember the mood after the final whistle when a lot of people thought it would be Notts County FC’s last match ever.

    6. Funniest moment
A fat, drunken Rotherham fan trying to run onto the pitch to confront Lee Hughes and falling flat on his arse, leaving Hughesy in stitches.

    7. The player you've enjoyed the most (not necessarily the best)
Sorry I’ve got to have two. Mark Stallard and Lee Hughes.

    8. How you came to be a Notts supporter
Purely my own choice. There was no real (contemporary) family interest in football or Notts County, but my Nottingham roots and my tendency to favour the underdog led me towards Notts, like a sucker! My favourite colour is also black, so I think that had a slight subliminal influence too.

    9. Sum up how you feel about Notts in 3 words
    Could do better!

Notts County 5 Tranmere Rovers 1 is a great shout. Most likely number two on my list.

It was probably the most surprising result I've ever witnessed. It was tippy tappy heaven. Passed the high flying opposition off the park, we were clinical, scored great team goals and they barely layed a glove on us.

We were rock bottom at the time.

1.. Home v Stags in the late 60s, crap game finished 0-0 I think, sat on the wooden benches in the Lane End with my old man & can only really remember the constant supply of sweets from the old biddies sat around us,bless em.

2.. So many but 5-1 v Trmmere not a bad shout.

3.. Away at Middlesbro in the FA cup probably early 80s, they were 2nd div we were 1st, lost 2-0 stuck on an open cop with a freezing wind in our face, never felt so cold & then their fans put the windows in on our train, what a journey home.

4.. Will take the easy option & say any win v the reds especially away, I loved them.

5.. It has to be any defeat by the above, I hated them.

6..My mate catching a Kevin Randell volley in the rocks during the warm up, cannot remember the game but we were known faces in the Lane End at the time & everyone including Randell found it hilarious .

7.. Bob Worthington & to this day I don't know why.

8.. My PE teacher coached South Notts Boys & was given comp tickets which he sold on to a few of us cheap, one shilling I think, so a group of us started going down, interestingly I know another 2 that still attend so cheap tickets do work.

    9.. Up and Down.

    1. Circa 1971, but first one I really remember versus Sunderland FAC3 Jan-1973, a 1-1 draw. They won the replay - and the cup!

    2. Feb-1976: Notts came from 2-0 down to beat Chelsea. Their hooligan fans were not best pleased.

    3. Can I pass....

    4. Any win against the noisy neighbours (ie Rushcliffe Rovers).

    5. Spoilt for choice but a 0-5 at Swindon takes some beating; on a train full of Swindump fans afterwards.

    6. A 2-1 win against Cardiff. As I remember it, we were bludy awful, but somehow managed to get to almost 90 mins only 0-1 down. Then scored two really lucky goals. I think one was a mi**** cross by Alex Dyer.

    7. Gotta be Don Masson.

    8. Like, there's a choice?

    9. We're all nutters.

    1. First game and any memories of it

1971 last game of season v Exeter 1-1. No real memory of the game itself, remember thinking players had very hairy legs (weird I know), also remember the fans on the pitch at the end of the game to celebrate promotion and my brother coming home with a small piece of hallowed turf which we planted in the corner of the lawn

    2. Best performance you've been to (or listened to if you can't get to games)

    Spurs 1994, Adios Ardilles

    3. Worst performance

Letting Southend come back from 2-0 to draw for the second season running

    4. Best moment as a Notts supporter

    Playoff v Brighton

    5. Worst moment

    Relegation out of the league

    6. Funniest moment

Steve Cherry rubbing his stomach in response to a "who ate all the pies" chant from opposition fans (can recall which match)

    7. The player you've enjoyed the most (not necessarily the best)

    Mark Draper

    8. How you came to be a Notts supporter

Dad who took me to the Exeter match

    9. Sum up how you feel about Notts in 3 words

    Glutton for punishment

    1. Fulham at home sometime in the mid seventies, I think we won 3 or 4 nil, can't remember precisely.

    2. 4-1 against Derby 93/94 season

    3. Macc Town defeat, truly awful and there have been a lot of those.

    4. Playoff win over Brighton.

    5. Losing our league status.

    6. Been a few, but can't think of one specific one.

    7. Tommy Johnson

    8. My Grandad was an Fword fan, so thought I would be different.

    9. Always want better
