He appeared in 7 consecutive games.

Point remains, coaches can do some weird s*** when they first come to a club (and drop a lot of points in the process)

Edit: I’d like to upload my dark clouds giff or photo but this sheite 1980s website doesn’t allow complicated stuff like that. Lol

The thing is we have signed 5 players from the league below, to expect them all to just walk straight into the first team would be a bit naive. I doubt even the owners would expect that. Some take more time than others, Langstaff and Austin have already, I get a feeling Scott will be a starter soon after LWs interview and Benjami has stiff competition to get his place. The rumours are probably true that he doesn’t fancy him at the moment, but he’s had a long injury last season, it’s a step up and surprise surprise it may take time to push himself in.

This might be abit old school thinking but maybe just maybe others are playing better in training ??!!

We have 18-20 players you cant play them all.

No need to panic/worry he will get game time at some point he then needs to grab his chance.

Is the weird s*** a straight observation or an observation with a side of critisism?

Agreed notts78 knight was never ever given a fair chance just like Eli 2 talents thrown on the scrapheap and along with numerous other front players will no doubt go on to better things. We haven't really supported young talent effectively since the Warnock years.

Knight was injured most of the time he was at Notts and is injured again now which is why he didn't play for Gateshead on Tues. The one time he was given a run in the side he did nowt. Totally different to Eli.

Totally agree with the last part but would our fans in NL be patient enough to give talented young'uns a chance? The manager appears to already be under a little pressure and it's only 3 games into his tenure!!

I know local lads and youngsters get more of a free pass but on NCM and social media a couple of indifferent or average perfomances and I'd envisage the knives would be out sharpish. Although I imagine they would point at the head coach and not the poor performing youngster.

Knight is out for a couple of months for Gateshead, more good business.
