Poor first touch from Eaves. Better touch there and clear shot on goal

Not a bad half. Shame we couldn’t hang onto that lead.

Playing ok but worried about our lack of pace at the back at the risk of sounding like gru you can’t play 3 x 30 somethings together their no 19 Holmes is threading some lovely balls through and there seems to be loads of space out on the wings
Dare I say Eaves is doing ok winning balls in the air and at least seems interested today shocking control for that chance though

ok first half, they look dangerous from every set piece and i suspect they will score again from a set piece. Eaves should be sat with me watching the game, can't control a ball and that offside in the 44th minute where he made no attempt to get in an onside position sums him up, total liability. Very pleased for Washington I hope that goal gives him the boost he needs, can't fault his work rate at all. Wiles and barlasar have been very good but Rathbone doesn't look right, he gives away far too many fouls including the silly one leading to their goal and the yellow card was madness. For me take eaves and Rathbone off (before he gets sent off) but kelly and Odoffin on and with 20 mins to go put pace in both wing-back positions to push them back and increase the pressure on their box. leave the 5th sub in case of injury.

Eaves is putting himself about but that’s about all. Very poor control. He had a great chance if he’d controlled the ball. I’m guessing he will be replaced early in 2nd half
