Cheaper rail fares in Europe because they're not paying drivers £60,000 a year.
Really?... the difference between what drivers earn in the UK compared to their European counterparts is sufficient to make the fares of MILLIONS of mainland Europe passengers noticeably cheaper? Absolute tosh! Subsidised fares in other European countries more like, not to mention much better maintained and properly funded networks...which leads to long term real savings.

This country is a joke. Broken A&E, horribly polluted rivers, extortionate energy prices (compared to EU), food bank epidemic etc. etc. Who's fault is all that?.... the Daily Mail and the Sun says it's the workers so that must be true.

    You're easy meat you lot.

Pensioners who have worked over 50 years get a pension. It is not a benefit, it has been paid for.
Living wage around 400 quid, the amount judged to be fair.
    Pensioners 185 ish.
    Would starmer sort that out?

Not sure. Personally, I think Starmer is another establishment stooge. We had our chance to really change things for the better under Corbyn. He was attacked and undermined on all sides (including from within his own party), the Tories got a landslide despite having shafted us for the previous 10 years, and we're now reaping all the benefits.

It will become increasingly less likely to redress the growing inequalities in society. That horse has bolted. Thatcher once said "there is no society". We're seeing that ideology play out big time now.

Ours are subsidised as well, they've had £42 billion taxpayers' money over the last few years.

You do realise that the franchises of most uk rail operators are foreign rail owners, take money from here subside there own networks.

As for A&E and the nhs being broken, it’s not it’s just flooded by free loaders coming in on dingies. Call me what you want but it’s the truth and lefties don’t like the truth.

You're still repeating that nonsense? It's not 2020 anymore. Older people end up in hospital with Covid, they're almost all vaccinated. Also most people with Covid in NHS hospitals actually caught it in hospital.
