In all honesty I think he’s made 2 bad moves which wasn’t his fault.
It sounded like Rowe just discarded him because he went away with his national team and let’s face it that’s plausible with the type of person he is.
Then he moves to us with us playing one striker and Wooton was never going to be dropped.
Strikers need goals and therefore game time and he’s had little at both clubs. There’s also a lot of mickey taking on social media and when confidence is low that can only compound it.
We know who he is as we've seen him at his best - and that's decent. Just not for a team chasing big things at the top end of the table. He could never get a run in the side and he's not at that level.
If a mid-table team gave him a run of a dozen matches, he'd prove himself IMO.
Prospects to get higher than that? Not great, or he'd have played with fury and desire against Coalville for example.

LW suggested we are better with just Langstaff up front as we have more control with an additional midfielder. Might be that Scott will be the back up we all think we need.

Personally, I’d like a different option up front.

What happens if he starts knocking them in nonstop whilst playing for them ?
Do we take him back , give him a new contract , just call it quits or chase a RADAR one in the pipeline !?
I don't think I'll worry about that happening

Will have to have a careful re-listen to the interview. I thought he was talking about the trade-off between the two line ups, more potency on one hand, more control on the other.

    Which interview was it?

Pretty sure he was talking in the Torquay presser about the difference between playing with two up top (Macca and Ced) against just one (Macca), with five in midfield giving you greater control of the game but less options up front.

I don't think he outright said he preferred one version, but he's clearly a fan of having control of the game rather than those to-and-fro "basketball"-type games you're likely to get against the better teams.

Even though Torquay aren't on paper one of those better teams, I wouldn't be surprised if we only have one up top tomorrow and try to control/manage the game.

Its a game we have to win, not just to control it. And if controlling it means playing JB, then we may come unstuck. We need to take the game to them, and not fanny about passing around the back.

Yes but sometimes having an extra midfielder doesnt mean its a negative move it depends who you are playing and how do you expose their weaknesses.

An example could be Torquay play 442 which means 2 CMs if we go with 3 we might boss the midfield/game which gives you more chance of winning.

That is just my thinking but tactics go out the window if you have 4/5 players who play sh*t as you are likely to lose regardless of system.

Just because it is a game we have to win, (as they all are at the moment) doesn't mean we can't control the game ad take it to them, as the second half at Solihull proved. Involved in taking it to them, and changing the game so that we controlled it was a certain JB. It seems when you have a dislike for a player, durham, that is it, they are cast aside and constantly blamed and barracked, thinking AN and JB in particular.
If LW decides the way to win tomorrow is Macca and Scott up front and less control then I am cool with that, equally if LW decides we need more control of the game to win it, by playing Macca as a lone striker and more control from midfield I am cool with that also.

JB to date has had one decent display of 20 minutes, prior to that he has been poor. On that basis he doesn't deserve to be in the starting lineup ahead of those who have played well. If he continues to improve, then fine.

Bostock and Jones both played well when they came on at Solihull they both kept the ball and the game ticking over.

Nothing world beating but it doesn’t need to be, if the other team don’t have the ball they can’t score.

Personally I think JOB comes in tomorrow.
