Tell you what I'd be very tempted to start Cotter at RWB next Sunday against Peterborough and give him a further opportunity .

I take the point Jordan Williams has played there all season but none the less this is about giving ourselves the best possible opportunity in that play off semi final .

Sometimes in football you have to be ruthless to achieve success .

I'd definitely start him next Sunday if nothing else .

Completely different side with the 2nd half changes giving us more bite and muscle.
Starting eleven too light weight in my opinion.

Connell, Anderson and Phillips rested along with Cole unused sub a very risky business from Duff if he takes this into the next game.

Similar tactics against Posh could well backfire on us big style in the playoffs.

Fully agree on Cotter the lad looked very strong and deserves a start.

Overall a very poor performance by the Reds , certain players were given a chance for a shot at the play offs but out of the starting line up only Thomas showed anything , Cundy was very poor & Tedic was awful ,I doubt his shirt will want washing but when the subs came on , Watters , Russell , Cotter & Shaw brought some effort & skill to the team & we finally looked something like but it is one to forget .

It looks highly likely we will be facing Bolton Wanderers in the play off semi final .

We've already played them three times this season and there's nowt they don't know about us or nowt we don't know about them .

Now don't get me wrong I'm not suggesting Nudger style we rip everything up from this season for the play offs by any means but none the less I'm looking for an edge , that 5% that may well be decisive in what looks increasingly like a very tight tie .

Just that little tweak and in all fairness to Jordan he hasn't been at his best for over a month now .

The highlight of the day was Wednesday failing to go up automatically. Well done Plymouth and Ipswich.

    Wednesday are definitely 3rd

    We are definitely 4th

Bolton and Derby still to contest who will finish 5th. Derby need to win at Hillsborough and hope Bolton lose at Bristol Rovers.

If Bolton finish 5th then Peterborough and Derby to contest who will finish 6th. Peterborough, the turd that won't flush away, need to win at Oakwell and hope Wednesday beat Derby at Hillsborough

The Play Off Fat Lady has sung for Wednesday 3rd and Barnsley 4th but we still dun't know who we will laik.

How Wednesday go about the Derby game next Sunday I don't know .

They could potentially be playing them in the play off semi final following next Sunday's game .

I think that's what we are both saying there Shad lol. That Duff doesn't seem like a manager who regularly ups and leaves teams.
The reason why Bristol City get mentioned is the thought of if or when Pearson gets sacked. Duff might then be tempted because its much nearer to his family, who apparently still do live in Cheltenham.
If we don't go up and if he stays with us, then I'd definitely feel confident about us challenging again next season.

As for todays match, I hope Duff can see that those starting changes he made, which probably were necessary, did not work!.
I knew this could be a dangerous scrap against a garbage team who nobody cares about, and we haven't exactly come out of it positively.
Fingers crossed now that we're going to treat the Peterbrough game more seriously, and yes I know it runs the risk of injuries and suspensions.
We must not be going into the Play offs with another defeat and poor performance. 😩
