Not my King and not my National Anthem .

If others are cool with it then fine , crack on and as yesterday at Oakwell I sat on my seat with my mouth closed whilst others around me sang it .

I wouldn't boo it but at the same time nobody had better pull me up for not standing up and singing it either .

You will wish you hadn't .

    Quite right

Ditto taking the knee, boo that, applaud it or just do nothing

    But don’t be a sheep

    Jerusalem should the national anthem.

Regardless of your political views the national anthem just sounds crap.

Bit weird having a national anthem named after the capital of a foreign country.

The people of Liverpool are left wing , militant and anti establishment all condensed in to one city .

Different breed over there and I can't think of any other city which would have fought so robustly for over 30 years to finally see justice served for the victims of the Hillsborough disaster .

The people of Liverpool didn't suddenly wake up one day and become left wing , militant and anti establishment for nothing .

This started started in the 70's and reached a peak in the 80's with Derek Hatton taking on the Thatcher government and of course the Hillsborough disaster just confirmed what the people of Liverpool always suspected about the establishment .

There were actually Tory MP's in the city up until the 1970's .

Best thing they could have done in my opinion wasn't to boo the national anthem but to sit inside Anfield in total silence until the anthem ended .

Way more powerful that to not even hear a pin drop inside the ground and nobody looking even remotely interested .

In the "good old days" they used to play the national anthem at the end of a performance in the cinema or theatre. They gave up when

they realised that no one stayed to listen (apart from people like gru). The ascension of King Brian has seen a significant shift in the people's

rejection of many of the attitudes associated with the monarchy. This will grow as the number of old fogeys die off.

Correct, and as the number of non Christian foreigners gets bigger and bigger.

Compare Elizabeth’s coronation to that of Charles, how many mosques we had for the first one to the second one

As you point out the demographics is changing in many ways

Preston v Sunderland, both sets of fans belting out the national anthem, no booing

Liverpool to Preston is about 35 miles

Are they that much different? Or is it just Liverpool fans being ****s?
