Others have said it's because the authorities are corrupt. Maybe so, but the ultimate responsibility lies with governmental ineptitude, where ministers have never wanted to sully their hands with dealing with a "working class" pursuit.
As I said total corruption everywhere.

Think 7 loans out 2 sold and 3 released in total and we have the grand amount of 4.8 million to show for it plus what ever we saved on the loan out wages.

Now given what we paid for some of those we have loaned out we should have raked back at least 60-80 million back!

Just goes to show what "good bits of business" our recently departed and never to be missed DoF and his mentor were capable of.

    Snigger ?

Maybe it'll be better for the game if agents should represent clubs rather than players. 😇
This'll ensure that everybody at one team gets equal treatment in the age of the Bosman & FFP for sure.

For many fans the only thing that matters is the squad lists at the end of every window but actually getting to that stage for clubs, players & agents there will be an awful lot of phone calls, meetings & negotiations to go into each deal to make a move happen.

Dunno what procedures previously/or are now in place at LUFC but the club & all their new lawyers must thrash out better contract terms regarding salaries & bonuses, particularly loyalty bonuses you'd assume. 🤔

Our medical examinations to check they are fit to play require an overall as obviously we've been missing previously undetected injuries or have been guilty of knowing of problems but not adjusting salaries via appearance clauses.

Until then we'll all suffer from Player & Agent power, sadly.

As Rev says in post #35, the players we have disposed of (in one way or another) would, had there been the kind of rational Ts&Cs in player contracts that a reasonably sane commercial head would have ensured had such a person been available, have realised some £60m at a minimum (we have spent over £150 in the last two transfer windows and most of those have now departed). We have actually received about £4-5m, including that derisory sum of £3m for Rodrigo.

All very well wishing for better in the future, but right now we are being shafted left, right and centre.

Hence my sniggering at the reference to a "war chest hunting party" (or did you mean a hunting party in search of a war chest?).

The exist door at ER, will definitely need a drop of oil soon. Seriously though, situation is pretty dire, the lack of any communication from the 49ers is both worrying & frustrating, dont expect a fanfare and all the usual yankee razamataz, but some firm action, and some sign / direction that they have this dramatic slide under control.
