Don't be a silly billy, as the SkySports headline says, it was SENSATIONAL.

I have said on here many times previously football generates more opinion than any other sport. Despite what you and SKY might claim I've seen better efforts on the Baxenden Recreation ground. UTC#

Never before have I seen a Burnley fan cream their kecks over a B@stads goal. First time for everything I suppose.

Never before have I seen anyone playing keepy uppys in the box before smashing it in from a tight angle. SENSATIONAL !!

Sublime skill is sublime skill, a sensational goal is a sensational goal mon ami, I really don't care who he plays for, I leave that sort of infantile nonsense to others, it leads to fans being bussed to games and town centres wrecked, you go down that road if you want, it's not for me.

I was 12 years old my best mate was a Rovers fan and it was my first trip without an adult to an away game. Nick had his blue & white scarf on, me my claret & blue. We jumped off the train at Mill Hill I was greeted by a 40 year B@strd fan who smacked me in the gob, bust my lip and knocked my front tooth out. Had to wear a denture plate ever since.

I f*ucking hate B'stards. It's incidents like that which leads to fans being bussed to games and town centres wrecked, not thinking a goal scored by a Rovers player is worth creaming my kecks over.

I had a similar experience outside Bolton Railway station as a ****ager, they kicked the **** out of me, wrecked my duffle coat and stole my precious Burnley scarf. Bolton is just another club, I have no particular animosity towards them or their fans because of this incident. One has to show a certain maturity about incidents in the dim and distant past, Move on mon ami or you'll grow into a bitter and twisted old man.

Cracking goal as well wasn't it ?

Nevertheless, one does not often see players playing keepy uppies at pace in the opposition box before smacking it in from a narrow angle, sensational goals should be celebrated regardless of any personal foibles.

John Francis did the same in a Tuesday night rout of Northampton at Turf Moor. I'll try and find it on Youtube.
