Also, not as much music at half time or after the game.
If we want to keep those younger fans then keep pumping out those decibels as well as pumping in the goals.
I thought it had been turned down. Now I can put the batteries back in my ear trumpet thingy, and at least I now can talk without having to shout above unnecessarily loud "music", all this modern stuff from the likes of Showaddywaddy and The Bay City Rollons, really! All we need now is someone trained how to speak clearly into the microphone instead of holding it half an inch from his gob.

Sod the younger fans, it's a football stadium not a music hall.

Do you think higher volumes = more younger fans? "Let's all go down Meadow Lane you fellows, the music's really loud!"

The music is now barely audible in the kop pre match. It’s all subjective of course but the choices are awful imo. Some clubs put a little poll of songs out and people vote for what they want to hear.

Bit of indie 90s Britpop wouldn’t go amiss.

I find it the other way around, you can barely hear the kop pre match because of the music, anyway I'm with durham Iron Maiden it is.

Thumbs up for Iron Maiden, bit of AC/DC wouldn't go amiss either. The music is definitely not as loud, and the guy on the mic is not good, so it kind of devalues spending all that money on the PA.

The new system was, I believe, paid for largely by Lifeline. So, many of us on here have paid towards it - over £150000.
    Club news 7th July 2023 --
    https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news...system-070723/
One of the sentences in the article says
“There are only a few UK football stadiums with a comparable offering and you need to look towards the top end of the Premier League to find them.”
Yet on Saturday it was no better than the old one. You could hardly hear the music and you definitely couldn't understand most of what the announcer was saying. All that was lacking was the old cringeworthy song with the line "Notts County's the name. Footballs the game. County's the team for me." - sorry don't know the title I'm glad to say.
Firstly, the man on the mic needs some training - certainly doesn't need to shout. Maybe to give him the benefit of the doubt, he perhaps needs a different type of microphone. Perhaps we should get the installation company to send someone in to adjust the settings and give some advice at the same time.
We (or many of us) have paid £150000+ and for that I would like to hear the music, to hear more music (half time and post match) and to understand at least 90% of what is said.
As for the playlist, I will leave that to someone else.

They played Oasis after full time on Saturday.

They play Oasis - Acquiesce after every game, I would love to know who's idea it is but it smacks of LW and his psychology, if you listen to the lyrics. It would be great if the kop could sing parts of this when times are a bit tough during a game, (I am sure the players would pick up on it). Maybe stick a sheet with the lyrics on, to every seat in the kop.

Yeah Acquiesce after every game, as 1959 says. A bit before a game would be good as well, along with The Stone Roses, The Smiths, The Rolling Stones, Sam Fender, The Jam, The Killers etc etc.

Basically, some bangers that most people know. I’d even go along with Free From Desire if it got everyone going!

Only if we can hear it though.
