I don't doubt that Middleton cares but what I see is a player who is, rightfully so, lacking in confidence but mostly due to a lack of ability. I can see why he likes playing on the right more because he isn't beating a man for pace down the left so he likes to cut inside. Regardless of where he plays he is not producing any kind of attacking threat and does seem to shy away in a game far too often. Squad player at best.

Sorry but I can't see any improvement in Watt's work ethic. Middleton for me has all the tools to be a good player but he just doesn't do enough in most of the games he plays.....but at least he is contributing something even if it is very little whereas Tony Watt is an absolute waste of a shirt and 2 or 3 fancy flicks every game ain't going to change that.

Anyone who doesn't think Watt is working hard for the team isn't watching the Utd games that many others are

By most accounts I've seen Watt played well at Inverness when he came on

Middleton has plenty to offer but needs to do it more often, maybe better on the right and can stand in through the middle as well

Both very good options at this level to have fighting for spots in the team along with promising younger players

I agree with Weegie, GM seems a player desperately lacking in confidence, he maybe needs to stop reading this board 😄

One rampaging display could change it, how about tomorrow Glenn 🎉

There is no doubt in my mind that GM and TW are both good players. They have proved it before. But.... that was then... this is now..

At this level, they should both be stand-outs. It's not happening for whatever reasons. Effort is good, but not enough. We really need them (and others) to show the level of play they think can play at.

    Hopefully, starting tomorrow.

    Totally agree.

There is definitely some potential quality and we need to see it more often and more obviously in goals and assists

In fairness to Middleton his free kick was the good delivery that led to the goal v ICT

He and TW need to show more, especially when they should be better than playing at this level - the fundesliga

I think that's a good assessment, doesn't have pace or trickery to beat players, always seems to be on his heels too, decent technique, and does have a decent shot on him, best games have probably through the middle.

I think him and watt are definitely trying, I will do a job over the season, I just think they are fairly average tbh.

To an extent, i agree that there are a number of us supporters in the GFL who ooh and aah when T Watt does his little flicks, but when these cute wee passes stop finding their target, all you hear is groans and OFFS!

I take it by the way you have worded your post that you have not seen him yourself this season? Having seen him a few times, he really needs to start putting in the effort, and if that starts tomorrow, then i will shut mah pu ss!

Both good options if on the boil, but they are not even simmering for us just now!
