I didn’t make it to GOS due to my dad not being well Friday night but I’m definitely going early next year and will report back to you then,i like the sound of it and driving through the beautiful Cumbrian* countryside made me wish that I could have stayed longer than I did

    * so Barrow isn’t in Cumbria then, that tree that got chopped down isn’t in Cumbria either and The Crossings is in Northumberland? No wonder you lot have to lie about red squirrels to get the punters up there

I seen a 'Slow Down Red Squirrels' sign yesterday in Dalston, I agree that this is probably a lie although I will give it a further look as there was hardly any trees where the sign was.

Sods law though, on the way home the missus slammed the breaks on whilst driving on that Dalston to Durdar road and I feared that we were going to crash into something, the next thing I see is a gray squirrel scurrying away from the front of the car as she had managed to miss it fortunately - with all this squirrel talk you couldn't make it up really.

It would appear though, whenever they put the red squirrel sign up I generally have a good look and have never spotted one in that manner, I think that whoever puts them up is good at wishful thinking or wants to pull at drivers heart strings in a deliberate attempt to get them to drive more slowly.

Same at a Country Park near Whitley Bay.. lovely place tbh… huge lake, plenty of walking trials & a huge field to entertain the 🐶… asked one of the Park Rangers where’s the best to see one? He said not here…. Wrong type of trees 🤷*♂️… he suggested a place about a 20 min drive further up the coast.. found it & looked promising as it was a nature reserve… no fo0k1n dogs allowed 🤬

I watched Four in a Bed last night who’s turn was it to be visited but The Crossings

The first couple who turned up described the drive to it as dark,,cold and raining, well that’s got Werewolf in London bloody written all over it hasn’t it and the the owner (Stephen) was far to handy with that meat cleaver for my liking, the fact that he knows somebody with a farm in the middle of nowhere where people can’t hear you scream has put me right off
When the contestants gave their scores he got nothing but 9’s and 10’s and all three couples said that they would return but I could see fear in their eyes when writing those scores, real fear

I fear that there’s some kind of special place in the cellar that they are all kept, much like that pawn shop in Pulp Fiction and I’m pretty sure that the sheep on the farm was there to be sacrificed,I was giving it thought to visit but not after viewing that
