Just out big interest who would you vote for BT in the electoral reform - I mean they’re just monkeys to me ( all of them ) squabbling about meaningless agendas for us.

It's the First Past the Post system that gets my goat army88. The Tories have moved the goal posts and boundary lines so much any General Election is heavily rigged in their favour.

Just count up the total number of votes and see who prevails.

As for who would I vote for at present is anybody's guess whichever system was in play.

Some sort of tactical voting for sure in this next General Election.

Complete and utter bollox, the Boundaries Commission is an independent body, the 2012 review which would have addressed the imbalance in Labour's favour never got implemented, the LibDems made it conditional on Lords Reform which Cameron wouldn't agree to, so it got kicked into the long grass. This reform is long overdue, it's been blocked by MPs before because it reduces the number of MPs and Turkeys don't vote for Christmas.

Who voted this in with a majority in the house of over 80?

An imminent shake-up of the UK’s constituency borders will give the ruling Conservative party up to 10 more seats at the next general election, according to experts.

The government in December passed the Parliamentary Constituencies Act, under which all 650 seats across the country will be redrawn to give them a similar number of voters — about 73,000.

The boundary changes represent a fresh challenge for the opposition Labour party, which needs to gain at least 124 seats to secure a majority at the next election, expected in 2024.

You are right mon ami it is complete and utter bollox.

Of course it will, that's the point of it, the way it was was hugely biased in Labour's favour, this addresses the imbalance. Not the Tories who have redrawn the boundaries, the Boundaries Commission is independent, just trying to ensure fairness. Of course Labour are chucking their toys out of the pram, the system has been biased in their favour for years, but their whining about 'gerrymandering' is laughable.

Off to watch the match with my boys right now and it's off to Fuerteventura for a fortnight tomorrow.

I'll happily argue the toss with you when I get back.
