Not sure what point you are trying to make?
Were we sh1t last season? Yes, and I suspect more Leeds supporters (who post here or not) would say so.
Would it be better for football generally if the powers that be grew a spine and a pair, and applied the rules and the sanctions that go with them in order to GOVERN what happens in football generally and the PL/EFL specifically? I would say yes, you would disagree?
Is it necessary for the likes of Leicester, Southampton and Leeds to threaten legal action because aforementioned footballing authorities lack the spine and b4lls to sanction where the rules of the game have bene flagrantly and repeatedly flouted? You f00king betcha! you would suggest that they (The FA and EFL in particular) have been acceptable custodians of the governance of football in the leagues and divisions that are regarded by many as the best in the world?
Now f00k off back under whatever rock you crawled out from and let us get on with getting back where we belong, the highest tier of football in this country.
Good episode of the rest of football tried to explain what Everton were docked and some of the background. They had a person on who looks at these issues.
Part of the problem seems to be that there is a lack of transparency and accessibility from the football authorities as to exactly what is being alleged and why.
Everton had total losses of about 300m over the relevant 3 year period of which about 180m were deductible and don’t count (youth set up, stadium and training ground expenditure efc).
Of the remainder they breached the spending cap by about 19.5m but put forward reasons which weren’t accepted by the tribunal and the finding was that it wasn’t a deliberate breach as such.
Everton had been speaking to the PL team that oversees this and there was a way for them not to breach the rules but they went a different way thinking they fell into an exception.
19.5m overspend and not deliberate/lnowingly done - 10 points seems fairly harsh so I suspect that they will appeal and get the sanction reduced.
Podcast also talks about some off the various reasons why the City case will take ages before it is heard.
