Exactly Mal.You can imagine the opposition teamtalk before the game-press them high up the pitch and they will eventually make a mistake. Then we score.End of, not rocket science.VK needs to realise O`Shea is not Rodri and Vitinho is not Kyle Walker.By next May he will probably see the light.

Should we have footballed them to death then Mal - from what I’ve seen of Wolves this year they’re a very decent side - I understand the frustration but the jump to this league and a lot of new faces has been much harder than I think VK and staff expected.

The thing is last seasons squad I’m not sure we’d be any better off with the exception of harwood Bellis who I believe we should have bought and would have played.

I honestly do see improvement in our shape - style overall play - it’s frustrating sometimes but so was Dyche ball imo anyway

You are as bad as O’Neil !! Now you are being too nice !! What we should have done is get it away from our penalty area, by any means possible. As BT said, up in row Z would have been perfectly adequate. Then we could have re-grouped and not go into the half time interval a goal behind. From the moment Wolves scored, that was the end of the game, for us.

Well that may be your opinion, however, it was the shocking pass by O'Shea to Berg that began the situation leading to the goal. Even on Saturday O;Shea made a number of passes under no pressure to Vithino that went straight out of play. His distribution is poor at the very best. Anyway your opinion is respected ande I hope mine is also respected.

Neither of you have a clue what you are on about. It's VK who insists on this fannying about in our own third of the pitch.

The troops are following orders, Muric, Roberts, Benson, Zaroury, Cullen and others are being penalised for not toeing the corporate line.

Mistakes happen,it's part and parcel of the game.We just happen to make more than other sides..

It's obvious to anyone that VK wants us to play the ball out and not boot it into the stand.Understandably the players are doing what he wants but phooking it up .

I think that we certainly have a clue BT, as I said ----" We play that ball every game and it was a piss poor touch from Berge that gave the ball away, ................"
Meaning that this is the way the VK wants to play ----remember Beyer against Crystal Palace ------should have been row Z and with SD it would have been, however, VK does not want that.

Yes vk dictates the overall way of playing but every player has to use common sense, otherwise we are playing by numbers.

Can’t argue either way Mal as with all football if no one made a mistake at all the games would be boring and stalemates.

We got punished for playing the way VK wants to play , it’s a risk and as you and Bt say row z would have sorted it for that moment - this style - shape has been on going for sometime right back to the beginning of last season with Muric where many were un happy at passes close into our box and into players feet with the opposition closing down and their back to play.

It’s not ideal I know but as I’ve posted before we are learning all the time - I think if we got a experienced centre back and big strong forward we could do alright in second half of season.

It's a fascinating thread this, lots of differing opinions and all the better for that. What does strike me is that there is a general discontent with the way that Vinni wants us to play, too much football, or fannying about as some put it, in our own half, not enough pragmatic seeking of Row Z. Which is fine, this type of football can get you into trouble, it can lead to goals against, and it doesn't just happen to us, there's always a good laugh to be had watching MOTD as some hapless keeper or defender plays his team into trouble, even the top teams mess it up on occasion.

It does remind me though of the last two or three seasons of Dycheball, so many of our fans were fed up of the ball being lumped up field willynilly and were pleading for some football to be played. Well now we are playing football and still some fans, a lot of fans, aren't happy, it does seem ironic and the old cliché springs to mind, be careful what you wish for.
