Yes but mostly a couple of miles an hour over the limit. I’ve been done a few times for doing 32, and once at 34. Still counts I know. I’ve been tailed a few times by young girls up my bumper, really dangerous.

Spot on! I’ve been on one of these courses and the majority who were there were middle aged who had been caught doing between 33 and 37/38 mph in a 30 mph limit.

Correct Boingy. Most for example caught doing about 35/37 in a 30 limit. Shocking! Fines should be calculated on a persons individual annual income as in some other countries. A fine of £100 for someone on 100+ grand a year is laughable but certainly not laughable if you are struggling to even fill up with petrol!

Reminds me of the time my mate was driving near Spaghetti Junction during the morning rush hour. He flew past the exit we needed but rather than driving round and trying again he brought the car to a halt and reversed in open traffic before wheel spinning away.

It was only then I noticed he wasn't wearing his jam jar like binos (which made his eyes look like pool balls on stalks) and said 'where're your glasses?'. He replied 'it's OK I don't need them when I'm driving' as he peered over the steering wheel with his face pressed close to the windscreen.

We were made redundant a few months later and the next time I saw him was when I caught a bus near my parents and he was driving the fkn thing. Thankfully he was wearing his jam jar like binos at the time and we all lived to see another day 😃.
