Comparing me, or anyone else, with Islay just isn't funny - or fair.

Actually quite an amusing comment from a poster who inflicts us all with posts/threads about such subjects as ferries to remote Scottish Islands, peat bogs, Islay distilleries and Argyll politics which I'm sure do not concern the majority if not nearly all other posters on here.

For while during covid, peat bogs, Argyll politics, CalMac and the rest were a welcome relief. Minority views are worth hearing, you don't have to believe them.

Very surprised to see us getting pelted in the Mail on Sunday for state of pitch and price rise for Season tickets. Then realised no OF game, so space to fill.

The reporter from the Mail on Sunday who interviewed Nelms a couple of months ago should be having another interview with Nelms, this time asking Nelms meaningful questions about the state of the Dens Park pitch and his justification for the near 20% increase in season ticket prices for the 2024/25 season.

What was the price of a season ticket last season versus this season? Pretty sure I paid £390 last season and £430 this season. Now my arithmetic teacher (Barmy Arthur) always said I'd never amount to anything but I can do percentages. A bit over 10% maybe, and still a lot, but not near 20%.

The price of the ticket is up near 20% if you are paying full price, which you have to do if paying it up.

Nelmsy tried to deceive the DSA by telling them it was a 5% increase before they realised he was comparing full price last year with super early this.......who wuda thought Nelmsy being economical with the truth.

I see that the Liverpool supporters have been complaining about a 2% increase in season ticket prices for next season with the Tottenham Hotspur supporters also up in arms about a 6% increase in their season ticket prices for the 2024/25 season.
Meanwhile apart from an initial outburst by some Dundee supporters about the near 20% increase in season ticket prices for the 2024/25 there has not been any more complaints.
Sadly there have been no complaints from the DSA committee members about this inflation busting increase in season ticket prices.
