It has been previously posted by another poster on this board that Fenton does what he is told to do by Nelms.
If it is correct that Greg Fenton is no longer employed by Dundee Football Club then perhaps he has got fed up with the current situation.

I know who was responsible but it has nothing whatsoever to do with you.
Stick to Dab Mad and hope that Mark Ogren does not get fed up bank rolling the Dabs.
wee mary is a ficticous name I picked for a representative of the BoS that fans blame for spending £20 million + not an actual person. How do you know it has nothing to do with me, I may be one of the many that recieved 6p\£1

Wonder if wee Mary would get a game for the dabs. 😆

These people tried to do their best for Dundee Football Club whilst they were majority owners.
Nelms is not the current majority owner. He was put in place by Tim Keyes to look after his investment in Dundee Football Club Limited.
Cook and Dixon were majority owners. Do you include them in whom you think tried their best for Dundee Football Club? Do you think Cook and Dixon done a better job than John Nelms is doing running the club?

From memory Dundee Football Club were due Bank of Scotland £22 million when they were forced to call in the administrators in 2003.
Yes BOS lent the Marrs the money but admin was down to the Marrs. They ran the business and they were reckless on how the borrowed money was spent etc culminating in being unable to pay back the money borrowed. By your logic any business that goes into admin is the banks fault if said business borrowed money from the bank. Yes the bank should have been more responsible on the amount they lent to the Marrs but the bank was not responsible for the admin, bad business decisions both on and off the park was the cause.

If I posted this I would have a member of this forum asking for a name to deflect the real issue being discussed.

You can call it reckless, but they took a gamble which probably would have paid off if tv deal never collapsed down south, we all went along with it and I personally thank them for a few great seasons supporting the Dees, I’ll never forget the trip to Perugia, we were going no where before they came in, if they hadn’t we would probably have been a modern day Third Lanark

Nelms is the Managing Director. He is not a majority owner.
Tim Keyes is the current majority owner.

The Bank of Scotland top management should have started to bounce the cheques long before the debts reached £22 million and Admin 1 took place.
I was speaking to a person who worked in RBS in Manchester and he asked me how Dundee Football Club could afford to sign Cannigia.
I replied that I did not know how they were able to sign Cannigia especially with the home gates they were getting at that time.
Now we know that it was the Bank of Scotland in Edinburgh who were ultimately paying for the cost of Cannigia’s wages plus the wages of all the other high earning players.

We finished 5th in the Premier League with Jocky Scott as the manager before the Marrs decided to sack Jocky Scott and bring in the Bonetti brothers who then signed lots of players from overseas.
In my opinion we would never have suffered Admin 1 if the Marrs had let Jocky Scott remain as the manager and left him to sign players without bankrupting the club.
Importantly we would still own Dens Park.
