obviously still on the edge of our seats until the music stops and the window closes, and we see who's left in the building, but agree this signing seems to raise more questions than it answers. Abbott looks really interesting on paper, like a great addition to the squad. Not at all sure he'll impact our first XI

What a shrew bit of business this is proving to be.

He does all the basics spot on, puts a decent tackle in, passes and moves in a way that is way above his 19 years.

He’s going places this lad. A pleasure to watch him in a Notts shirt.

Would be interesting to know what kind of fee it would take to make it permanent.
Fear though if he has a good season we will be out muscled when bigger fish go sniffing

I would forget about that. he was playing in their first team in the pre season Australian tour. He will be banging on the door at Championship level next season. Just like Grealish enjoy him while you can mate.

Difficult to see Spurs selling him. He will be out on loan to league football as part of his pathway there, possibly with a view to a loan to a higher division next season or becoming a squad player at Tottenham.

It’s early days but so far so very good.

There is no fee for a league 2 club. Abbott is cutting his teeth at a level he will never play at unless injuries ruin his career.

How about for a league one club?

    (Getting ahead of myself there...)

Abbott is certainly shaping up to be a great loan signing and if his confidence grows more and he fully adapts to lower league football he could turn on to be Avery astute signing. Better still, it might tempt other prospects to join us on loan.
