Thread: WBA v CLARETS

Perfectly good goal dissallowed-even Styles did not complain.Unbelievable.Apart from that we were toothless again going forward-better than recently but still hopeless in front of goal.Who thought Flemming was worth a punt as he is useless.Koleosho still not learned how to deliver a final ball and Brownhill was invisible.
CJ Egan-Riley was the only player worth a mention.Another solid display.

As I said at half time, we were never going to win with this ref. The goal he choked off was an abysmal decision and even surprised the Albion players.
That one goal could have given a lot of confidence to a team who are struggling for goals. Sadly. it will work the other way and give lots of our fans something else to moan about when we play Swansea. It doesn't take much!

Koleosho loses the ball far too much, Brownhill and Cullen influence absolutely nothing, they tippy tap the ball around the middle but it affects nothing. I know he’s not a number 9, but Flemming isn’t doing anywhere near enough. Shame Sarmiento had to go off, he looked useful at times

Lets face it, it just isn't us. After watching us ply our trade in the Premier league for most of the last 10 years, the standards in the championship fall well short of what we are used to.

This league in comparison to the Premier is like chalk and cheese, the excitement doesn't arrive until April when everyone is chasing the promotion spots or fighting relegation, until then it's crap

Gotta say I can’t see Parker lasting very long to be honest. It’s dreadful to watch and yet another goalless game. I’m not necessarily advocating that we sack him, but I just can’t see where this is going at the moment? The signs aren’t good

For me it was a massive improvement on recent games, but I just cannot understand why Flemming is getting the gig up top.

I echo all of the above but with a good ref we would have won the game and Parky would have had a reprieve. A draw away at the hawthorns, under normal circumstances would have been a good result. The game has highlighted how poor we are at set pieces and how much we need a centre forward, but we all know that and presumably so does Parker. I agree with BT JRod should have been brought on with at least 15 mins to go. Koleosho has the speed of a greyhound but unfortunately the same ball control. Roll on the next game, there was definitely improvement tonight.

Happy enough with that performance, as Chris and Sub say with an only half-competent referee we'd have won the game, and the disallowed goal was by no means his worst mistake, the yellow card for Roberts was laughable, it wasn't even a free-kick, it was bad enough that the ref gave it, but for him then to card Roberts showed that he'd fallen hook, line and sinker for the oldest trick in the book, that wazzock is not fit to be refereeing schoolboys.

A definite improvement and a good point from a game we should have won. Obviously on this showing Fleming is not the striker we need, sits in the centre and lets the big CB sit on him, no runs down the channels at all.

Just watched the highlights again, we were robbed of all three points. Ridiculous decision to chalk off our "goal".
