I'm OK with that as an approach but we've got to get people on the end of it!
From the state of most of our crosses, it might be a good idea to nip down to Chester Zoo, sign a giraffe and put a No 9 shirt on it.

We tried that with Crouch but it didn't work.

What we need, I think, are natural poachers like Wood and Bashley. They get into the box anticipating something coming in. Wood got offside a lot because he was on the shoulder of the defenders, challenging them.

So many times against Swansea no one seemed to be anticipating the ball coming in. Players were on their heels and waiting. There was one good ball that Brownhill needed to throw himself at and make any connection. That was Chris Iwelumo’s comment. Danny Ings would have been sniffing around for that type of ball.

A natural like a Wood or Bashley would have thrown themselves at the ball to make any contact.

There must be that type of player available in the leagues. They don’t have to be a Mo Salah or a Messi.

But is there Swiss ? Only six players in the Championship have scored more goals than Josh Brownhill, and three of the six have only scored one more. We are not the only ones struggling to find even an halfway decent striker.

Charlie Wilson, who's he? We could get Charlie Brown for peanuts.
