Feel sorry for Griffiths as he was having a good game before the second goal. It?s hit low, relatively hard and not far out, so he didn?t have chance to set himself, so I wouldn?t call it a howler.

Too many bizarre team selections, Diakite, Price, Bany, Fellows, Johnston, Heggem, Styles and Griffiths are our future, next season I certainly don?t want Swift, Wallace, Diangana, Bartley, Mowatt, Holgate or Wildsmith anywhere near the Hawthorns, massive clear out required
Was working tonight so unable to watch or listen to the game but judging from the various reports I've read, I was probably saved a lot of frustration (again!).
TM can go on about the "cruelty" of not getting our just desserts in games like the ones against Norwich or Sunderland where we had the majority of both possession and chances but last night's game didn't sound like this was the case at all. Seems like we did have a controlling spell for a while but that Bristol looked like they wanted the game far more and, had it not been for Griffiths (at least TM has recognized that selection) we would have been a couple down well before F/T.
Must agree with what many have been stating for a while which is that we need to start playing our best team and not keep switching and changing which loses momentum and continuity. It is very clear that TM favours the likes of Armstrong, Diangana and Swift and whilst I would agree that all these players possess certain qualities, it is equally clear that they do not make the impact they should do for us. Fellows and Johnston may get targeted by defences but that is because they offer the threat and so should start. Given Armstrong's underwhelming performances to date, Dike (who offers more physicality) also needs to be given his chance. Surely, we can't all be wrong on this?
Still think we may turn things around in time to reach play offs but getting through them is another matter entirely. We need another season to re-build and hopefully get shot of the costly under-performers. I'd be quite happy with Griffiths, Furlong, Diakite, Heggem, Styles, Fellows (if we can retain him), Price, Bany, Dike, Maja, Grant and Johnston but would look to replace others.
As for Molumby, I love his competitiveness and he can also spot those decent forward passes but he hasn't always the quality needed and he too easily loses his head which can cost us-as it did today. Certainly wouldn't mind him as a squad player but think we could improve on both him and Mowatt in midfield.
