It's the hope that kills you.
Fleetwood are no mugs on their day at Bradford. Crewe away aint easy for Walsall, and Doncaster will go all out to win the title at Notts, anything could happen.

thanks as always, Och. It would have taken me hours to compute that!
So basically Bradford have to lose to Fleetwood for us to have any chance.
I really REALLY hope we don't end up with two more fing Salford debacles, worse even than Chessy again. However, this being Notts, that's what I'm expecting now![]()
This is so typically Notts. Do our best to throw away automatic promotion but the carrot keeps getting dangled until the very last day.
Does anyone feel in their heart of hearts, that after what we have seen this season in big games, that Notts will beat Doncaster when all the chips are down?
The stat about Walsall going up having not won in 14 games would surely be some kind of record!
Very welcome!
There are so many permutations for the playoff places now, so here's who I think can finish where:
3rd: Bradford, Walsall, Notts
4th: Bradford, Walsall, Notts
5th: Bradford, Walsall, Notts, AFC Wimbledon
6th: Notts, AFC Wimbledon, Salford, Grimsby, Chesterfield
7th: AFC Wimbledon, Salford, Grimsby, Chesterfield, Colchester
The only two teams from this list playing each other on the final day are Grimsby vs Wimbledon, the winner is guaranteed the playoffs: Wimbledon in 5th or 6th, Grimsby in 6th or 7th. A draw realistically* puts Wimbledon into the playoffs in 6th but Grimsby would need Salford to lose, and Chesterfield and Colchester not to win.
* unless you think Salford can win by 10 goals, which would push Wimbledon down to 7th.

Sorry, Chesterfield can't get 6th. Wimbledon playing Grimsby makes it impossible for Chessie to leapfrog both.
