Thread: Matt Hamshaw on Hugill's potential

I did get to watch Evans and Raynor and don't think that they could lead a conga at a New Year Party. Constantly bellowing at players and calling them out in public was 'not terribly inspiring'. I'm surprised that they've never been chinned.

I'll back Hamshaw on Hugill until they give me a reason not to.
So lets ignore the common denominator here. Fails with Taylor (Taylor's uninspiring). Fails with Richardson (Richardson didnt have a chance). Fails with Evans (Evans is a bully).

Perhaps if he fails with Hamshaw then it will be because a) Hamshaw is from Rotherham? b) Hamshaw played for Wednesday? c) Hamshaw is uninspiring?

Or maybe Hugill is the problem?

He also failed* at Cardiff, Norwich and WBA, so you can add some more managers to the list.

    * Unless, as I said earlier, people view success in terms of finance rather than football achievements.

Or. All those professional managers saw something they liked and we're willing to pay for his service...

Actually, when he signed I was impressed. Big name, decent career. It all looked good. But he's done absolutely nothing since he arrived other that strut up and down the side-line. As I said earlier - hes as bad as Blackstock. Such a shame.

I hope he has a great season, however there has been little in the last 2.5 seasons to suggest he will.

I’ve got a feeling this season will be a good one for him, and that means potentially a good one for all us.
